ArcadianHQ - September 2020 Release.
Added 2020-09-02 19:07:34 +0000 UTCLet's go back to the classics! If there is a iconic board game about dungeons, heroes and evil wizards, that is Heroquest. With this release we start this new project in which we will redesign the core clasic game into a new art style, making it nearer to modern exploration and dungeons games such as Arcadia Quest or Super Dungeon Explore.
Since Heroquest came with a ton of different minis and scenery, I decided to split this project in various sets, that will come in the following couple of months until it is complete. Here is all that is included in this Part 1 and the number of minis of each kind that you need to match the original game:
I took AQ for a reference, so the minis' bases are 24 mm and fit into the guilds base markers. Even though I personally like to scale the big monsters (Chaos Warrior and Fimir) around 10% to make them more menacing. But this is personal!
Also, this time I'm uploading only one file, .rar, so it isn't so tedious to dowload one by one. If this causes any problem please let me know so I can fix it.
Not much to add. Just in case I must say that this is a fan project, not associated in any way with the original Heroquest whose rights belongs completely to the original author.
Lastly just a reminder that in the next few days I will be posting about important info regarding the Patreon, such as older files avaliability, tier rewards and new features.

All patrons will have a discount in all previous releases uploaded to the store. 3 first month' packs are already uploaded and under testing before being public in MMF.

2020-09-24 08:35:49 +0000 UTCHi! Would it be possible for you to have the models without bases in the STL? Some HQ fans may want square, and others would use custom bases. And i'm not confident in editing STLs to remove the bases. :P Great work BTW!

Ultimately it will be the Guild Executive tier patrons who decide what to do next, but it is always better the more options there are to choose from, and I write down every suggestion I read. In addition, I usually prefer to model sets for specific games than for themes, since it always brings more variety of creatures. Aaaaand yes, Gloomhaven has been on my personal list for quite some time :D

After you conclude all core set, I hope you go further on HQ expansion. *** The Mage of Mirror *** *** Frozen Horror *** *** Wizards of Morcar *** *** Against Ogre Horde *** maybe skaven from Advanced HQ ...others not present in HQ as cleric, bard, ranger and the magazine exclusives fairy and centaur ... also, I would love to see other dice monsters from Masmorra: -> Dire Rat -> Spider -> Giant Bat -> Lizard -> Manticore -> Medusa (why not? Elysia is super hard to find and pricey to pay for) -> Rust Insect Well... so much on wishlist, erm, I mean... sugestions, but later you could release Gloomhaven / Frosthaven / Jaws of Lions basic miniatures in Arcadia Quest style.
