Witch in library

I was one of those people. Expression is super important that's true. I'm not an expert yet.Most of the times I'm figuring it out close to the end of rendering character. I don't have yet this amazing freedom of choosing what a character face will tell about them and situation from the beginning. But now I'm thinking about it at least and I'm more focused on improving. I'm very happy that it's noticeable.

It really has a different feel than the other version and it's also clearly an improvement in terms of depth and detail! A lot of people underestimate how important facial expressions in art are, but you are really good at capturing them. I like how the new expression is way more ambiguous now: In the old picture she's just looking lascivious, but now there is a mix of that and a bit of uncertainty. Did she go to far? Is whatever she conjured maybe more dangerous then she thought? That mix of lust and danger really adds a lot. Well done.

Oh, you are not. I'm still here. :) I tried out new technique (again I know). I was putting on spotst of "random" colors, green, blue, red and yellow and I was mixing them while painting.That was different than normal because I haven't chosen one or two skin tones I was creating them by mixing. I think this made skin look a little bit more alive. I was trying to replicate this technique on another illustration but something went wrong. I have to figure out what because I loved it before.

Welp. I'm late to the game here, but all I gotta say is this looks lifelike. Amazing \o/

I've forgoten about freckles! OH NO!!!!! By the way thank you for this comment. I guess I feel more comfortable with drawing backgrounds now, so this is why they look more detailed even when they are blurry.

It may look different but that's not a bad thing, also your opinion is just as important as ours! :) I love this new version as it seems more refined and polished than the original. Comparing the two you can tell how much you've improved with anatomy and facial structure. I especially like what you've done with her figure (Such as her breast shape) and facial expression. The background looks excellent and the lighting is wonderfully done. Together with her pose and the tentacles this scene looks much more natural and dynamic yet still soft and sexy. Additional notes and details like her socks, panties and collar look incredible on her. The perspective is much better on this version than the original. The original seemed a bit cluttered while now it's open and provides a stunning view of the scene and it's surroundings. Also the color palette seems lighter and natural, which allows her eyes, hair and the tentacles to draw attention. Overall I love this illustration and I'm so glad you decided to redraw it. The only thing that the original has that I liked or appreciated is her longer hair, bra, earrings and freckles. Those are minor details though and they don't subtract with how beautiful this art piece is. You did an awesome job on this Poppy! <333 :D
