Night ambush

I've tried something new on this one. I would love to know if you guys even notice change or if the change is only big because of my work comfort. Also this is first night scene that I've made in a while and I've enjoyed this toned out color palette.

Incredible work on this illustration Poppy! I absolutely love everything about it. :D I don't know much about art and it's many techniques but I did notice a few changes between the first and final version of this illustration you sent me. Overall I like the tone of the color palette used here and the lighting is simply remarkable, it goes well with this setting. The scene feels urgent and passionate yet also has a feeling of lustful anticipation. You did a fantastic job on the characters and background, love the details as always. <3 ^_^ Will have to do a follow up sometime in the future if that sounds good to you? :-)

I've reattached png file to it. Don't know why sometimes they just disappear.

Do you have a high res version of this?

I always use thin lines in the beginig (when I'm sketching). But when I'm coloring I don't use lines at all. Hm. I'm not sure how to answer to this questins. Hopefully I will get better :)

Yes. I've worked with different brushes but, actually lack of smoothness is more dictated by working on one layer. Most of my works had more then 100 layers XD That was silly and unnecessary. So during work I was constantly merging them. It is probably possible to work on one layer but I would definitely need some more practice. Actually I've made another painting one layer it was first "Tavern". You may check it out for similarities.

Did you make the lines thinner? They don't seem as prominent as some of your previous works.

Was it a thicker brush for blending the skin textures? Looks like maybe not so smooth as normal but in a good way
