How do you use the animal fat to make lard for cooking? I don't have EcoLifeStyle but the animal fat is showing up in my game. I know you need EcoLifeStyle to make candles, but do you also need it to make the lard for cooking?

Since I don't see a response and I was having trouble with this, for the homemade butter and flour at least, when you make them the result is a "batch" serving, and the recipe will only recognize the single serving. So if you make the homemade butter or flour, you can click on it and then click 'Pick up a serving,' and that individual serving should work as the ingredient for the recipes.

ive downloaded the rar but it doesnt show in game

I've noticed that "homemade butter" doesn't seem to count towards recipes needing butter. Same with the cheese. My sim keeps making loads of butter and cheese. But then the recipes needing those items don't recognize them.

The yarn dying is not working properly it makes all the wool either white or beige. If it is in inventory it says and looks the proper color, but not when it is set out for like sale or something. I took that package of the mod out and the yarn went to the proper colors. Put it back in and it went back to white or beige.

Yes, I have so many plans to expand this but grannies cookbook has sort of taken most of my time. I'm trying to get myself better organised so I can dedicate more time to this mod. Hopefully when I can start playing my save again i'll get motivated to add some of my ideas :)

totally just out of curiosity, and forgive me if you've answered this before, but do you ever plan on adding more recipes/harvestables/etc to this mod? to be clear, it's perfect as is and i truly can't imagine playing decades without this and grannies cookbook; your food mods are really truly incredible and i am super grateful for them

You can unzip a .rar file just as a .zip file with 7z

Thank you YellowOrange for responding before I could. Glad it's eventually working for you! Sorry you had issues. I think unless you have winrar to extract, it can be a little temperamental. This mod is still an ongoing project so I will try to move away from the .rar file if I can find a better way to merge and upload the mod and all its parts. I hope you have fun now that you can finally play with it. Any issues and you might find my discord helpful. 😊

Yes. It comes as a rar file and you have to extract it using something like winrar or keka for mac. You HAVE to extract it to work.

Hi, it's a .rar file. You could try using winrar to extract it. I'm not sure why some people have this problem.. it could be because it's quite a large download. I'm looking at other ways to package the files for an easier download.

Hey there, the Fried fowl meal is not recognizing the flour, and will not allow me to prepare it. I made sure I had flour in the fridge and in my sims inventory and it still will now let her make it. Thanks!

No because they can use other stoves. I thinking it must be because I use the late Scumbumbo's don't prep food where you poop on my sinks, stoves, and counters. On all the other stoves the option to disable or enable it for food prep shows on the menu. On the olde stove it does not. This is just a guess. I don't expect you to change it just for me. I was just wondering if anyone else had the same issue.

My sims cannot use the stove for some reason. They wave their hand and don't use it to cook.

it also only allows my sim to make single servings of meals and the other amounts are grayed out because "there is no oven available" but it is available for single servings?

hi! i am having this issue in my game where when my sims try to cook meals they get out the ingredients and do not proceed to cook it all, or if i send them to a rabbit hole my game crashes. I have it installed just one folder deep in my mods folder and have followed the instructions to install it, deleting necessary files when needed. Do you know of any conflicts with other mods? am i missing something i need for the mod to work? thank you!

They shouldn't cause any conflict as I use them too.. I tested in my game but couldn't replicate the issue you are having. Do you get any LEs? Also which packages from the download do you have installed?

Hi again i have two empty counters and i and took out icemun and SCOO but i still cant make the homemade flour and butter they start to do it but dont finish it want y to no i have no problems with the other recipe only this two.

Oh i'll take a look, I haven't had chance to play lately so one of the recent updates might have changed something. In the mean time, make sure your sim has 2 empty counter spaces - they might be being fussy with the space as they like to move around a lot sometimes.

Hi Thank you i love this but my sims cant finish the homemade butter my sims start to do the butter after a while the sim stopp and dont finish the butter. I have custom food and SCOO in my game but they are uppdatet and should work fine with yours. Thanks again for all y lovley recipe. My sim have a bowl over hers head when she stop cooking.

No, I had all packs installed and I think after playing around a bit it might be a glitch? I might try it out without some of the other cc I have installed and see if it might be a piece of outdated cc that is making it wig out. Thanks for getting back to me!

Oh that's odd, i'll take a look! Everything should be base game but is there any packs you don't have installed? I plan on adding more items to this 'kit' over time, so there will likely be a counter space of some sort in the future 😊

I had trouble with making the salads. The show in the game food menu but my sim refuses to make them. Also, it would be awesome to have a counter space that matches the oven or a historical equivalent like a worktable or hutch? This is such an amazing addition to my gameplay! Thank you for all the hard work!

Hi, the ingredients should be compatible with scco recipes. But the recipes in the cookbook will only use the ingredients in this download. There is plans for me to adjust each recipe to be compatible with scco ingredients tags 😊
