Hello Fellow Trappers!

Hello everyone! Austin here, today I'll be giving everyone a quick update on the going ons at Dragon Trappers Lodge. We'll be covering the status of the whale lodge, this months bonus models, merchant tiers and only games, and introducing our new product manager. So let's dive in!

First off let us introduce our new Product Manager Mitch! Mitch has been transitioning into the role over the last couple weeks and has been doing a great job. He will be the one responding to messages and answering most of your questions. He's very helpful and can solve most issues. He will also be the primary person to tag on discord if you need help with missing files etc. Be sure to welcome him in the comments and give hime a Dragon Trappers Hello!

Next up, the whale lodge is not ready to release yet unfortunately. Here's why and what the roadmap looks like. Essentially it was our first large scale model and first fdm model we had sculpted. We had found a sculptor that did a great job sculpting but didn't have as much experience designing for 3d printing. Once it was finally done we started getting ready to cut it and started running into issues. We had sculptor after sculptor look at it and they where unable to work with the file for one reason or another. First the file size was too big and would crash their machines then there where mesh errors. Eventually we hired a physical product engineer to help cut this thing in a way that would allow it to print on fdm as easily as possible and be structurally sound. Even with his expertise there where too many issues. The original sculptor is in high demand so his time was limited to fix it. Currently it is in the process of being fixed and the areas that need it resculpted. I do not have an exact date on how long this will take unfortunately but hopefully he will finish within the next few weeks and then we will return to the cutting stage. After that we will test print it. I know It's frustrating that it is taking so long and on the bright side we've learned a lot on this model. Every patron former and current will receive the model and we will make sure it gets out to everyone. We really appreciate your patience on this and can't wait to get it out to you.

Next up, this months bonus models are almost ready. The sculpts are finished and we are just waiting on supports and renders which should only take a day or two. You can expect them within the next week! The ooze dragon turned out amazing and the blob mermaid is especially hilarious. We cannot wait to see your prints! We also included stat blocks for these bad boys.

The last item of business is Only Games and the Merchant Tier. For those of you who don't know Only Games is a site where creators like us can upload their models so people without a printer can order them and have them shipped to their door. My Mini Factory recently purchased the site but we do not yet know what that will mean going forward or how things will change. It may mean people can order the set as a physical minis through tribes or it may just be a la carte. So far the prices for only games are very high and most merchants are able to make a profit off their model at a much lower price point so we believe there is still plenty of room in the market for merchants on Etsy and the like. As far as the merchant tier goes we have no plans to revoke your licenses. As long as you are a merchant you will be able to sell any of your previously purchased and acquired models. I can't say what the future holds but I can be certain we will make sure you guys aren't left out to dry as things evolve and change. If you have more questions feel free to message me on discord.
