Currently playing an off the grid household, but with an oven that has a biofuel cell so I can make all EA recipes, but doesn't work for the non off the grid recipes in Grannie's Cookbook. Any work around for that?

hello im having trouble with the latest version. none of the recipes seem to be working. the sims just stop cooking in the middle and get the cant walk speech bubble. i have homestead helper and grannies cookbook. Edit: NVM it was just sims being stupid. i replaced the oven and now its working.

Hi! I just wanted to know what to do about an issue with the mod. Whenever my sim cooks certain meals like the toad in a hole or the stuffed pumpkin recipe she makes it up until the cooking on the stove part and then quits the cooking action and then when I try to press on the chopping board to have them resume making the food the only option to click is clean up.

Hi sorry you’ve having issues! Remove the spooky bags recipe and clear the cache. Load up and make a “save as” version of your save so that the recipe and any dishes are completely removed. Then download the recipe from the direct post and then load up the game and see if this still happens. If you get any errors send them to me and I will take a look ☺️

when I place the book, Grab Quickmeal disappears from the fridge, not really a problem since this mod has so many delicious snacks, except for the orange juice. I really miss having the benefits of drinking orange juice without ordering medicine or making tea. any way that one could be added back or make a similar healing snack? (this is pre-crystal update)

The book is updated very frequently to add any new recipes (at minimum, monthly). If a new recipe comes out, chances are the book will have been updated. It's Day/Month format if that helps :)

There is a recipe tab on the main page. There is also a bulk download. This has almost all the recipes in one place.

Have you made sure that you have only the newest version of the cookbook and all recipes that you'd like installed? Clear your cache as well. Double-check that you do not have multiple recipe books in your game as the versions change.

Hi, the cookbook is a .package file. The download is at the bottom of the page. No need to extract, just place into mods folder :)

Hello. Do you have updated mods and game? 6 months ago there was an issue with CC bed slots causing Sims to cancel their cooking/eating interactions. If you use Sims 4 Studio, you can run a batch fix on the beds to fix this problem. Hope that this helps.

hiya!! I have a problem with this mod :// I downloaded it a couple days ago with some other mods and I got a notification that my game won't open and if I have cc i should delete it and try again. I have never had that problem before so I got scared and deleted all my mods and the game was working again. I wasn't sure if I wanted cc in my game again because I was a bit scared, I downloaded mc command centre and this mod and it was working okay yesterday but today I got that notification again :// I deleted this mod and the game opend. I'm not quite sure if the problem is on my side or is it the mod

Have you checked that everything has been properly opened? No zip/rar inside of the actual mods folder. Do you have the most updated version, and is your game up-to-date? Also check in a new save file with only this mod and recipes installed to see if the problem persists.

i installed it and put it in my mods folder, i also installed some recipes and put it in my mod folder, the grannies cookbook is there but i cant interact with it. i can either rename it or put it in my inventory, and thats all i can do. i need help bcuz i really want to use this mod its so useful for daily life in the sims :'D!!

PSA: If you are having Sims cancel interactions due to eating, run the Sims4Studio (Windows/Mac versions available) batch object fix on CC beds. Sometimes even the blankets and pillows will show up in that batch fix. Sims can eat after doing so. It has something to do with slots on the beds. No clue why, but please try this fix.

Hi, they are all working. The better exceptions is only alerting that the tuning template has changed slightly. The lag could just be the game, I know many players suffer from this. It could also be if you have a lot of mods/cc. It really depends on your computer. As long as MCCC isn't throwing any LEs they should be okay! :)

Hi, that is currently the newest version. Have you checked that your sims have a high enough cooking skill to show all of the foods? The game will only show foods that your sim has the level to cook. If you have dine out you can check to see if the game is reading the recipe files by seeing if they are an option in the menu. Just a heads up I will be updating the book today/tomorrow to add new food compatibility.

Hello, so I have a problem. When I click on desserts to make a dessert nothing pops up to be made. Is this a bug and is there a fix? I've deleted and reinstalled the desserts folder and used the bulk download twice and the desserts section is the only section not working properly.

Hi, if you have the dine out gp installed you can check to see if the recipes are showing in your game by making a custom menu to see if the recipes show up there. If they do, it seems you may have a mod conflicting. If they aren't showing up then try redownloading the file, some people have issues as the download is so large. If you are still having issues you can message me on discord and i'll help you further 🙂

hi! in the download links one of them should have the title of 'fruitcrepes' in it, and that is the file that you need to download! it is a bulk of recipes up until the fruit crepes! if you want the ones made after that, go to her patreon downloads and download the most recent recipes:)

Hi ! For some reason my sim is only half cooking the recipes, I have enough countertop space and I’ve tried replacing the oven. Pretty much anything that has to be cooked on the stovetop or in the oven isn’t working

Hi, you don’t have to use the lot trait 😊 the top part where I mention the lot trait basically means that I haven’t updated each recipe to include the ingredients for the trait, but they all still work fine!

Ingredients aren't required, that's only if the lot trait is activated. Does it say anything when you hover over a greyed out recipe? Sounds like maybe your sim doesn't have access to the stove/fridge.

Can you still use this cookbook if you don't havee the Cottage Living pack? I know that it requires ingredients to cook and I have your newest version of the cookbook but when I try to use a recipe from it, it's grayed out and I can't do anything with it.

Yes, there's a link in the description to most of them but they will all be getting an update soon for the new traits. They still work at the moment though so are safe to play with!

Just to be on the safe side i'm going to say it is likely to need updating along with all the recipes. There is a possibility it will still function but the recipes may not be compatible for group cooking. I will make a post when I find out the damage! x

Little Dica has updated most of his stoves, if you're still wanting some cc ones. I think that coding got changed when Maxis implemented separated ones now.

My problem was that I had a cc stove. When I replaced it with a game stove it worked fine.

Hi, check to make sure you don't have a conflicting mod. If you have dine out gp, you could check to see if the foods show in a custom menu to see whether your game is reading the packages. Does your sim have a high enough cooking skill to show all the foods? Also you will need a high chair for toddler foods to show.

for some reasons, the recipes are not showing anymore...I have everything installed correctly including the most recent update 05.06. everything was showing up at first and now, its only about 3 things for breakfast showing, same for desserts but nothing else including toddler meals!

Do they make it to the stove? If not, it sounds like you are missing the frying pan prop. Just make sure you have the newest cookbook version. (if you already do, delete and redownload just in case something went wrong when downloading!)

Reading the comments, CC ovens do not work that have custom tuning. They will need to be individually updated. Right now, LIttleDica updated some of the ovens. If the oven does not have custom tuning, if you're having issues, you will need to make sure to clean your mods folder. Update your mods, including trait mods, etc. Repair the game. The last thing that you'll want to do is get a new resource.cfg, however don't do this unless it's your last attempt to fix. Hope this helps.

You may have another mod conflicting? I’ve had a few reports of similar issues but some have been resolved by removing another mod. As I can’t yet replicate the issue in my game I’m assuming it may be a bug/glitch with ea.

Hi, I have the same problem. Most of the recipes are not usable because I do'n have an oven. It doesn't matter if I place an CC oven or an original oven. I have version 11.5 of the cookbook.

I have tried to make this work SO MANY different ways....if i make a seperate folder for grannies book my game doesnt find it. so it only works if it is directly in my mods folder and i have 3 folders with the receipies...but the recipies wont show up no matter what I do and I am getting so frustrated because normally I can figure these things out but I seem to have hit a wall and have no explanation why this is not working right. I reaaaaaly want to make this work because it looks SO AMAZING.... please help....yes my game is up to date and I used the 11.5 version.

Hi, the recipes are still working and didn't need an update :) You can find a bulk download on mod the sims, but make sure to delete that cookbook and get the newest version from here. It may also be missing a few of the newer recipes so you will have to grab those from here too :)

Hello, for some reason the Medieval cookbook has also disappeared in my game. it is where I left in and it use to be there, but now it is gone. Did one of your updates to the new Granny's cookbook affect it. I really like this one for my dirt poor families, nothing like fishhead stew. Never mind it was my fault. I accidently deleted the need "tunings". Thank you for your wonderful mod. I need to update my pledge amount for all your hard work.

hi! everytime i try to make the oxtail and rice recipe, my sim pulls the packaging out but acts as if she can't make it (waving hand in air like theres no room, etc.) but she makes everything else just fine.

Hi, that's strange.. the book doesn't have a food display case. Are you sure you didn't accidentally delete another file? Maybe the game bugged out and removed it from the lot for some reason.

I'm not sure if it will work correctly (I can't see why it wouldn't) but with me making some edits to the package using a newer version of s4s it might have made it incompatible with older game versions.
