October's Patreon Poll Video - Voting is closed

EDIT: Voting has finished now and it looks as though we're going to have some fun with a surgeon from the Mary Rose. Stay tuned....

Anyway, I'm well ahead now with my research on Eleanor of Aquitaine, we're hoping to shoot later this week for release before the end of September. In the meantime, it's time to vote for a video for October and as everyone seems to love the medieval & medical history, I have some great choices for you. What will you choose?

I bet not, we'd just be two archery addicts having some fun

Kevin Hicks

Never ever Kevin, you are too good for me ;-) I would be emberrased shooting beside you.

Marco Engelbracht

Wouldn't it be amazing to be able to shoot those together! I trust you're well my friend. πŸ‘

Mary Rose, my most beloved ship as it conserved all those bows for me...

Marco Engelbracht

I think it's going to be a close run vote this time 😜

Trepanation does sound fascinating. I believe it was done many centuries ago before our modern-ish age of medical practice was formed. Crazy stuff!

Same here!

Medieval hospitals has a nice creepy ring to it! LOL!πŸ‘»πŸ«¨ Regarding trepanation - I have family whose last name is "Trepanier". They think it's French. Anyway, it wasn't until 2-3 months ago that I discovered the word "trepanation" and its definition.😳 I haven't had the heart to tell them tho! I'm guessing their name must translate to "one who performs trepanation".😁

Never an easy choice, as usual. Second choice is Ship's Surgeon on the Mary Rose, because I love naval history, too. (Edit to add first choice too) I picked trepanation as my first choice because I think it will be very fascinating and I trust Kevin to do his usual well researched and educational job on it so that we all actually learn something about it, instead of usual sensationalist nonsense. Also, waiting eagerly for Eleanor!

Erin Brannon

I like to learn more on Medieval Hospitals and see what they did to treat people.

Michael

I love the medical episodes. It’s fascinating to see how people treated ailments and injuries without modern technology!

Medieval medince is one of my particular interests but I was really torn on this one: with my profession one of the parts of history I learned was that a ships carpenter might be back up surgeon because you knee how to use a saw and had your own tools.
