May Throwback Month!

Founder and Art Director Austin here! I hope you are all doing well. We've loved seeing some of the prints you have been sharing in the discord. I hope our minis have been serving your campaigns and painting endeavors well! We wanted to update you on our plans for next months release. We've decided to postpone the Eldritch Lodge set next month and instead do a throwback month. What this means is that we will run a series of polls to have you all vote on each category, monster, dragon, character, etc, In order to flesh out a full set using throw back models and plus a little extra to beef it up with a few more than normal as well. It will be a "full release" for all tiers including the veteran Tier just with previously released models. So why are we doing this?

There's a couple reasons. One, as a small team it is a lot of work to get out the amount of models we do every month and it doesn't leave a lot of room for breaks. Doing a throw back month gives us a chance to take a quick breather. Secondly and the main reason our fantastic Product manager Drew who is the one who responds to Patreon and MMF messages as well as runs the pattern page and social media accounts is leaving the company to move onto other projects. We've been lucky to have him and he will be missed! We will be hiring someone new and taking this break will allow us to train them and get things running smoother and better than ever. It will also allow us to catch up on some other projects like the whale lodge. Basically we need a chance to transition a new Patreon Manager and a chance to get caught up on things so we aren't getting late releases in the future.

I know some of you may be disappointed that the upcoming sets are getting pushed back a month but don't worry they are still coming. Everything planned will still get released. We know for some of you that a throwback set might not be appealing especially if you've been with us for along time and already have most of our models. So we wanted to do something fun to sweeten the deal and help convince you to continue giving us your support while we make this transition. For this month we are going to make a community created model in addition to the throwback set!  Monster, trapper, dragon? It will be up to you! We will run a series of polls to make a custom model decided on by you! We can't wait to see what you come up with and we truly appreciate all the support you've given us over these last two years. If you have any questions please post them in the comments and I will respond to all of them. Also if Drew has helped you at any point be sure to give him a true Dragon Trappers send off in the comments! We've got plenty of exciting things to come in the next year so stay tuned!
