We hope you are enjoying this months Scorching North Set! we hope those of you celebrating have a great holiday! The January set will be the apocalyptic wasteland set and February will be our Dino trappers lodge set. So what would you like to see for the March set? If there was an option from a previous poll that didn't make the cut don't worry. It doesn't mean it's gone forever. They may still be options in future polls. leave your vote below. Wild West Set
This set would be good old fashioned wild west themed! We're thinking gunslinger trappers, a skeleton mariachi band bard trio, A TRAIN DRAGON! and the artificer that made it riding a mechanical horse. Chupacabras, Skin-walkers, Gila monster monster, cactus monsters, thunderbirds, rattlesnake hydra? Who knows what else there could be.
Eldritch Lodge
This set would have trappers who focus in defending reality from the eldritch horris that reside in the blind eternities. Cthulhuesque monsters, arcane magic, eyes, tentacles, psionics, more tentacles, and what ever horrifying monstrosities we can dream up. Perhaps a magical inter-planar ship for a mobile base.
Yokai Trappers Lodge
This set would take place in Okinja and would be full of Japanese inspired spirits and monsters. We are thinking a "Spirited Away" themed set essentially. asian style dragons, No Face inspired monsters, cute forest spirits. Kappa, kitsune, animated objects and all sorts of Ghibli inspired fun. There is lots of room to explore in this theme and we would love to hear your ideas.
Elemental Invasion
Monsters from the various elemental planes have invaded the material plane and the dragon trappers have been called upon to help in the fight. We would do a unique take on elementals, perhaps some new ones as well, lava elementals, storm elementals, etc. we’d try and do some interesting takes on elementals to keep it fresh while also providing some top notch classics that could be a useful addition to any mini collection.

Wild West sounds cool but I’m unsure of how I’d work a “train dragon” into a campaign

There are plenty of sources for eldritch and elemental creatures and while I think the Wild West sounds very cool, I don't know how many models I would actually consider printing or using. Yokai all the way!

2021-12-20 17:11:23 +0000 UTCWild west sounds fun, but not sure I'd print any of them, not sure how I could use any of them in a traditional D&D setting or even with any sort of other fantasy type stuff. We seem to be looking at a lot more sci-fi type things modern town theme, with the upcoming futuristic Mad Max type stuff, now with trains, etc there seems to be a couple of useless months for me on the horizon :( I know I'm probably going to get hate mail lol however it's just my perspective.. I signed up for the year and so far have been more than pleased with what has been produced but I wasn't really looking for more sci-fi type of stuff or futuristic type models. Some people might find use for them, I'm not sure what games they would use them for but it just isn't for me. Maybe instead of cattle we could get catoblepas?
