What Size Models Do You Prefer?

Hello Fellow Trappers!

Thanks so much for all your feedback on our recent polls yesterday. We have a few more if you'd be wiling to answer a few more to help us improve the lodge. We want to know what size of models do you prefer? Let us know below.

I've never printed an epic size model, and very few of the dragons. They just have too few uses and take too much time and effort compared to how often you'll get to use them.

For 32mm scale models, your medium size minis on 25mm bases are often very small and thin compared to other modellers. So although the height is appropriately scaled, many of the minis do look out of place when put alongside almost any other 32mm scale mini I sell. The Snake Lady from the September 21 set is a prime example of this. Lovely sculpt but just not in line with what's normal at this scale. I think you may need to consider who you are modelling for - gamers or people who only want models to paint. Nothing wrong with either but I'd say that you're not yet catering to gamers who will also be using a range of minis from different modellers. Thanks for taking on board all the feedback.

That's exactly my case too!

yeah I usually go with 32mm for my smalls not 25mm . Im older and my eyes need bigger details lol

To elaborate on my multiple posts about 32mm - I have way less problems printing at 32mm than at 25mm - especially with elaborate sculpts like the dryads with their little spikey bits and thin fingers. At 25mm those pieces are just so brittle, and so easy to damage removing supports.

Other: 32 mm

Since there wasn't really an option for it, largely 25mm-80mm, occasionally 100mm, but I can't realistically see any time that I would print some of the massive lodges, or even some of the huge minis such as the turtleback lodge. I will say that I did my annual subscription not for the hunters themselves, but rather your take on different beasts that are unique or very tough to find alternatives for.

For what it's worth, the major reason I love your guys work is because you have such a huge array of models in size and appearance

DustlessOrphan

i joined for the trappers and indians there are only one set.

What I love about the dtl dragons is while big, they still fit a normal wargaming base.

Jeffrey Ernst

Aye, keeping a mix seems great 1 dragon in theme, and a bunch of medium and small models to accompany it, with a little terrain to match... so basically what you're already doing works great imho :)

25mm-80mm are the best for me. The epic ones are cool but I will never print them, I've not even printed a dragon yet and I've been subbed for almost a year.

Nick Holmes

I prefer 32mm scale, but mostly like weird monsters in the "large to huge" DnD scale If that makes sense.

Richard Conley

I like a mix of things that meet the general tabletop base sizes; 20-25mm based infantry figures, 40mm for smaller / group monsters, 50-75mm for larger shop piece monsters.

Jesse White

I like a mix with the emphasis on unique dragons (or other boss monsters).

Savannah Mitchell

Personally I mostly print minis on 25mm bases, as they're much easier to get painted, use in a game, and store afterwards. Epic size monsters are awesome and are great fun to use, but I rarely print them unless I know I'll need them.
