I was loving the the look of that Volcanic Hardscale and it’s basing ... them I noticed the small hamlet it was yelling at. Scale is everything!!!

2020-10-29 20:54:55 +0000 UTCNonsense! Just start painting regularly, you'll be amazed how fast you improve. Watch tutorials, try new techniques with each model. I really don't have many minis under my belt, and if I recall, Dave Castle said that Beholder is only his second mini, and it looks great.
2020-10-29 20:03:52 +0000 UTCI saw some other photos. That's why I know the photo doesn't do it justice :-) There's some tough competition this month either way. Lots of amazing talent has been showing up lately. I should have gotten into painting earlier because there's no way I'll ever win now. :-P
2020-10-29 19:49:15 +0000 UTCHaha thanks! Maybe I could get some photography pointers, I had a hard time fully capturing her... you can see all the angles on Instagram @wanderingeyeapothecary
2020-10-29 19:39:47 +0000 UTCUnfortunately, the Sphynx picture doesn't show off the amazing detail on the wings.
2020-10-29 19:26:02 +0000 UTCSome very nice pieces. And I had to consider each for sure, but in the end it was hands down the Cave Hydra for me.
