14 - Finally Finished

The big Uncharted / Last of Us time is over. There were a few new pledges this week and a couple of people increased the amount they had before. Thank you--to everyone. I hope the video was worth all the time it took.

I'd say the average video length on the channel is somewhere around 30 minutes. So at over 3 hours long, the new one was roughly the equivalent of 6 videos. It was only on 4 games though. I probably should have split it up but I wanted to see if people preferred something that was a much bigger presentation. I could do a mix of both in the future, with each game in a series having its own video and then a big collection of them in one upload after that. Not sure. I'll think about it--I don't want it to appear like I'm trying to bait out more ad views by doing that.

I've already done some work on the Uncharted 4 script. I'm going to be playing the game again over the next two days. The last video took so long that I think I need to see some parts of UC4 again to make sure I get the details right. Then it'll be onto Dark Souls 3. Then Far Harbor.

The video on Fallout 4 took over Hearthstone this week as the most viewed one on the channel. Which is nuts to me since Hearthstone was this huge, almost-viral thing that exploded into 40,000 views over a few days if I remember right. Fallout 4 did really well but I think settled somewhere between 10,000 to 20,000 in its first week? Maybe even less than that I can't remember. Now it's above 70,000. Hearthstone hasn't broken that yet.

So I think Far Harbor is something people will want to watch. I picked up some games in the Steam sale that I think I can make some smaller videos on too. If not, they're games I've wanted to play for myself so we'll see how it goes.
