going away for a bit (death cw)

Hey. As some of you might know already, my dads been pretty unwell for about two years now. he's been on hospice care for about a month, but two nights ago he took a turn for the worse and the nurse thinks he might have anywhere from 48 to 72 hours left.

I feel like I should have been more prepared for this, since I've known it was coming for a while, but... I'm not. I'm sorry that I'm going to have to up and leave for a bit.

If you want to change or end your pledges- please do so, I completely understand. Times are rough for everyone right now and we all need to do what we can to stay afloat. I'm gonna leave my Patreon active for at least a little bit, because apparently dying is stupidly expensive (fuck this country for Real). If you still want to support, I really do appreciate it- but again, please don't feel obligated.

I honestly don't know when I'll be back. Drawing, especially drawing Skeptical, helps me cope- but i don't want to end up associating anything that's good for me with whats happening in my life right now.

I don't really know what else to say here. Please take care of yourselves, please tell your loved ones what they mean to you.

And as always, thank you for reading. <3

Thank you so much. ❤️ I’m so sorry to hear about your mother passing as well; I truly appreciate your advice.

What I learned from my mother’s passing was that no one is really “ready” emotionally. Sometimes a good day is just putting one foot in front of the other, it just takes time. Sometimes the grief hits again at random, please let yourself feel your feelings and take the time you need. We will still be here.

Thank you Kiana for your kind words and advice, the video really helped too. I'll definitely be checking out more of her stuff when I have the mental energy for it. Take care of you and yours as well ♥

Know your rights when it comes time, and do not let them take his body away before y'all are ready. You probably don't have time to watch her video right now since each minute rn is precious, but I just don't want your family to end up regretting something during this time due to how the death industry likes to operate and deceive familes

Kiana
