A brief update

Hey everyone! Just wanted to throw up an update because I feel I’ve been neglecting the Patreon recently.

I’ve found myself in a bit of a creative slump, nothing super serious but I’m struggling to find the drive to write a script or edit a video or any of the usual things that go into the video making process. Usually after I finish one project, it’s not long before I’m deep in the trenches of the next one (which tbf isn’t a healthy way to work 😅). Since I completed my Spider-Man Retrospective I’ve really just been chilling out, and living life a bit.

As for what I’ve generally been up to, Elva and I have been playing Mario wonder which is such a fun game, really the exact thing I needed. I started the Tales of Arise expansion, although I’m nowhere near deep enough to have an opinion. I’ve also been toying with the idea of maybe doing something Minecraft related with George for an old school videos series on H&F. But as for inspiration to make videos… I don’t have any right now.

I of course want to get back to creating and I want something to work on, but I’m trying not to force that as much as I used to, although I do have a ton of ideas jotted down, and a few scripts I’ve started but never finished, maybe one will stick soon. While it’s obviously better for the stuff I make (and my own sanity), to take my time and sometimes take a step back, I still feel an obligation to have stuff for you, especially when you guys are literally giving me money.

And that brings us to Jazz Lounge, which is really the thing that’s causing me the most anxiety, I do want to get another episode out, I didn’t intend to fall behind I just got a bit overwhelmed with stuff going on in my life and it’s sometimes a struggle to find the right guest in the right timeframe. That said I’ll try to get back on that and get an episode out as soon as I can secure a guest. I know Patreon is really a place for you to support my work above all else, but I still don’t like failing to deliver stuff that you could’ve signed up specifically for.

Streaming is also another thing I haven’t done for some time now and the reason is really that I just don’t feel like it, I haven’t been enjoying it as of late and that’s really the only reason. I’m sure I’ll get back to it before long and I have a few one off ideas that’d be nice for a hang out, but currently I’m enjoying taking a break from that.

TL;DR

Apologies for neglecting Patreon, I’m in a bit of a creative slump atm. I’ll keep vibing and I’m sure inspiration will strike. Jazz Lounge isn’t gone, I’ve just been swamped and fell behind with it, I’ll try to get a guest soon and get back in the groove.
