I'm stuck for my next major project...
Added 2023-06-02 02:41:27 +0000 UTCI have two large videos that I really want to make but I'm not sure which to prioritise and go for first, could even be that I only end up making one of these depending on which I pick because of the other projects I need to do this year... so I thought I'd come to you gamers. (Because this is a very specific poll that I genuinely need help with, I'm opening it up to all tiers (sorry producers))
I want to make a case for both, give you the gist and then let you vote, so allow me to elaborate.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 5 Years Later
Now, this is a game I LOVED back in 2018 when it launched and I always wanted to make a video on but just never found the right time. With it being 5 years since launch it feels right. I don't know what the general buzz is around this game anymore, although I'm confident it has a strong and loyal fanbase, if the video found them it'd be well worth it but you can't trust YouTube to really do that. Regardless it's something I'd love to work on even if just for an excuse to replay one of my favourite RPGs in recent memory. There's tons of elements to it I feel went deeply underappreciated on launch and it's one of those games that could benefit from a video like I made on the Saboteur back in 2019.
The Rise and Fall of Tomb Raider
If you've been following me for a while you'll know I talk about this video concept ALL THE TIME. Tomb Raider was one of my favourite franchises as a kid and I adore all of the old school games and the Legend trilogy. I feel though, with the 2013 reboot, Tomb Raider almost went a similar way to Assassin's Creed, in that it just ditched it's identity in favour of something entirely different and it lost me quite a bit. That said 2013 is definitely the best of the reboot trilogy, but it ages somewhat like AC Origins, while at the time it was a promising start, the path they ended up heading down sours the original first steps into that territory knowing that actually it wasn't the start of something great but the start of something very bad, each instalment got worse and worse and I've already made a video on what I thought of Shadow of the Tomb Raider but I really have been meaning to explore the rise of the TR franchise and how iteration created masterpieces, followed by how I believe the franchise ultimately fell. Soon feels like a good time given the dust has settled with regards to the reboot trilogy and there's something new in development with the brand, it'd be nice, before an announcement, to weigh in on how I think it could or should be handled.
Up to you!
Well, it's up to you, go ahead and drop a vote and feel free to leave a comment too as to why you feel one video would be better over the other, I'd love to hear what you have to say. Thanks everyone!
