The odd thing about the "porn is so easy to get nowadays" conversation is that it's actually not. The non-mainstream shit is so much harder to get now than it used to be. Which is good in some cases (not having to worry about just randomly seeing CP on 4chan) but it's also annoying when a bunch of erotica got totally wiped from Amazon. And you know, living in Texas or all the other states with a porn ban and having to get a VPN just to see vanilla ass pornhub. On a longer note, I'm kinda disappointed at the discussion on dating. It's kind of frustrating when people give the same bad advice all the time. "Have good hygiene", "talk to women like people". And sure that's a good thing to do in general, but it's somewhat condescencing to assume that guys aren't doing something that simple. They do, it just doesn't work. Meanwhile they see other guys who don't do that at all having no problems. So it feels like society is lying to them. The good advice is to just go out more and do activities that get you more friends and interaction with women. But the advice can't stop there, because it's not enough of a guideline of what to do. Like if you're the kind of guy whose main interests are playing video games with his boys, being more interested in playing video games with the boys isn't going to do much for him. And he doesn't really know what is out there that he can try that might be fun and actually have women around. That's the advice he's looking for. Where to go. What to say. Actionable steps that he can try.

And I let that get to me and I went on a posting spree about politics and it really bummed me out. to clarify not this episode specific. I was in the middle of the doom scrolling -doom and gloom posting. So edgy, so mysterious. Then I packed my first bowl for the day and took a few long hits. Asked my self if 12 year old me would think that was cool? Turned out yes. So I took a few more hits and did some thinking; because 12 year old me was an unmedicated mess. Turns out it bothers me because I can't solve it. I am not smart enough, I am not charming enough and let's be real here Aaron Lewis ruined the bald acoustical nu metal crossover gimmick. So put my mental focus more on important household things. Look at that. Thanks dadchat. Getting manly and buff'd abs with our inner selves.
