There’s a mild sadness that I won’t be able to foster a childhood love of wacky robot comedy, Ally Sheedy, and Michael McKean in my kids in quite the same way as my siblings and I experienced it, but it isn’t worth the brownface. The “Short Circuit” series gotta go.

2025-03-14 09:10:07 +0000 UTCChances are you're getting the wind from here in Ohio. We have a few wind farms. I believe we sale that energy to other states. To answer Nate's question about Marvel. Some books are starting to cut back on the violence a bit. Invincible helped to show you can go different routes. It makes more sense to have squirrel girl trying to de-esculate rather then just unleash her squirrel army. Even books like Punisher are more story driven these days. Still violent. But a lot less toned down. Deadpool is just over the top. If you want a comic pallet cleanser may I suggest Invincible. Either the book or the animated show. It starts off like it's going to be this violent, gory cartoon. It is, but Robert Kirk (Walking Dead) flips a few scripts. I don't want to spoil, but eventually he learns you don't have punch everything to win.

But yea it's shit, go watch Madoka Magica a Rebellion instead

2025-03-04 08:56:12 +0000 UTCOur kid went through a Mythbusters phase, and we thought we’d show him the original Indiana Jones. I mean, it starts with the boulder scene, and that’s cool, right? Oh no. Oh no no no, oh god, this has not aged well at all, let’s just put Mythbusters back on.

2025-03-04 06:27:48 +0000 UTCMCU movies are so bad and so long now. I saw the red hulk movie and red hulk didn't appear until 95 minutes in and was gone less than ten minutes later. I've never been so mad at a movie.
