This week Francis is talking about the Blue Sky migration and all the books he's reading. Are there any books you had to read in high school that you're thinking of revisiting? Let me know

First book I remember reading in school (freshmen year US high school) that I actually loved was Frankenstein by Mary Shelly. I would read ahead of class bc it wss not like anything I expected. I actually haven't reread it in over a decade so might have to do that.
I actually was gonna read Battle Royale by Koushun Takami bc it's one of my favorite books. A thing that I don't think is talked about is just how darkly comedic the writing is as well as the huge variety of characters. It's one i highly recommend especially if you've only ever watched the movies

timely, have been carrying around books I've been meaning to read but scrolling instead. fell off the wagon big time when we had kids a year ago and the exhausted scrolling is a bad habit now. cheers for the motivation 👍

If you want more Orwell, read homage to Catalonia. It is his retelling of his time in the Spanish civil war. Non fiction obviously but one of my favorite Orwell books. Also check out some Steinbeck. Grapes of wrath and cannery row are two of my favorites
