Because in her words, they're opposition research--they're what right-wingers think the police are actually like, and nothing is more indicative of this trend than the CBS show Blue Bloods. So, for this first episode of a sub series we're calling CopWatch, Nate has to sit through Blue Bloods S12E18, 'Long Lost,' an episode about how you should respect the Troops, but never think they have what it takes to be the real Troops (cops who do brutality but for good causes).
