Pledges Tips on Patrons Using the iOS Patreon App

Hello Readers!

First of all, thank you for subscribing and joining my memberships. A simple thanks isn’t enough for the support you all have given me! It’s been a good month for me, and while checking the payout button on my page, I stumbled upon something...

Apparently, if you use iOS to make payments, the payment is held for up to 75 days before the creator (which is me) can cash out.

I searched for it and found this:

"If a patron subscribes via the Patreon iOS app, Apple charges a 30% fee, and then Patreon’s normal fees also apply. After everything, creators can lose up to ~43% of what the patron pays.

On top of that, payouts from iOS pledges are held for up to 75 days before creators can actually withdraw them, compared to the usual 1–5 days for web pledges."

Damn...

A 30% cut from Apple is crazy. The 13% Patreon fee is valid because I’m using their platform, but Apple is just grabbing 30% right off the bat.

So, to fix this, please subscribe using a web browser. Just type: Patreon.com/NotEvenMyFinalForm to dodge that 30% cut from Apple.
