Surgery Tomorrow

Helllllo Rivans. I've tweeted about this a bit recently, and talked about it on the Gar1onriva Discord (join here: https://discord.gg/3HfM3qb) but I also wanted to tell you guys directly on here too.

Tomorrow morning (very early) I'll be going to hospital to await a surgery to fix my broken nose. To give a quick summary:

- About 15/16 years ago is when I think it was broken while training at karate. I've only taken a few blows to my face in my life, and that was the most likely.

- I didn't notice it for years.

- About 4 or 5 years ago I began to notice it having an effect on my health.

- About 2.5-3 years ago I went to a doctor about it. It didn't seem bad enough to warrant surgery. Even so I requested to speak to a consultant to get an idea of what surgery would be.

- It took about 2-2.5 years for me to actually SEE that consultant, by which point it was having a distinct, detrimental effect on my health.

- I struggle to breathe most days, and I lose a lot of sleep and energy to being unable to breathe properly.

- It's a large part of why I stopped streaming back in April.

- When I finally spoke to a doctor, I learned that I'd already been approved for surgery. I decided to move ahead with it.

- Due to how long I've been waiting, it's been a bit fast-tracked through the NHS (National Health Service).

- The surgery is tomorrow.

They expect me to leave within the day, but who knows. They expect it to go smoothly, but there may be complications. I have a minor family history of surgical complications, so who knows. I should be able to wear glasses etc immediately after, so I should be able to return to work when I'm up to it.

I've uploaded all this week's videos, and I have some extras recorded. Even so, there may be a gap in uploads.

But after I recover, I should be feeling better than I have in years. I plan to crack on with work after that, maybe starting streaming again.

We shall have to see how well/quickly I recover.

Please wish me luck and send good will. I'm honestly very nervous. I've never had surgery before.
