Anne vs Kame

Kame was sent to feel this newcomer out and that's exactly what she  intended to do.  She had heard that this Anne chick worked for the  PhoenixCreed group, and her manager wanted to see exactly what they had  to offer.  It was always tough for a new group to break into the game,  so they always had to do it the hard way.  Show that they had what it  takes, and that their fighters could compete on that new level.  So far  Kame and Anne had been dancing around each other trading, quick punches,  just getting a feel for each other.  Now Kame was ready to really see  what this girl had.

"Is that all that you got  hun", taunted Kame as she circled the ring with Anne.  "I have to say  this for her, she is definitely not going to be a push over", thought  Kame, she had been trying all of Anne's defenses with feints and jabs,  somewhat slower than normal just to gauge her opponents strengths and  weaknesses.  This was just a fact finding mission, so she would try not  to hurt her if at all possible.

"I was told to  take it easy on you, since you are such a newbie", Anne shot back.   "Either Kame was really or newbie or she was just sandbagging it to try  to fool her, either way Anne was just waiting for the perfect moment",  she mused while keeping a close eye on Kame.  She was not as toned as  Anne, so she might not put in the hours necessary to survive in this  game, but she did seem to have a sense of power about her that was  hiding just under the surface.  Anne was not fooled by the slow motion  punches that Kame was throwing her way, she had been surprised before by  letting her opponent lull her into a false overconfidence.  Anne would  reverse the game on this novice and maybe teach her something in the  bargain.  She knew that Phoenix was always happy to help out any new  talent in the arena, but she also knew that his people came first.

Kame  hated being called a newbie, mainly because that is exactly what she  was.  How was she ever going to get ahead or even at the same level as  the other fighters in her crew if she didn't put her foot down and show  them that she had at least some of what it would take to help give them  the recognition that they deserved.  If she could put Anne on her butt,  that would make her day, and she would have something to gloat about  when she got back to her own gym.  "It was time to show Anne a thing or  two", Kame grunted to herself, finally ready to go for it.  "Newbie,  newbie!!!" snarled Kame, as her temper once again got the better of  her.  That was the one thing that her manager said she needed to work on  above everything else.  She knew that when she lost her temper like  this, it was never good for her, but for some reason she just couldn't  stop the reaction when someone called her a newbie.  "I'll show you what  this newbie can do", she spat as she began a swift one-two attack on  Anne, hoping to catch her off guard and land a nice solid hit to that  pretty face.  She led with her right hoping to see Anne moving away from  it, right into the path of her left fist that was already on its way.   Instead, to Kame's horror, Anne easily deflected the right punch sending  Kame's stance slightly off balance.  She realized that her left punch  would be ineffective now and tried to retreat, but it was too late, Kame  had left herself wide open to attack.

"That's  what I was waiting for", smirked Anne, as she easily blocked Kame's  punch that she saw coming from about a mile away.  Not stopping there,  Anne figured that the blocked attack would quickly turn into a hasty  retreat and she wasn't going to give that time to happen.  With her  opponents defenses wide open, her right fist shot through the gap left  open by the 'newbie'.  Anne would teach her a good lesson today, and  would definitely talk to her about that anger thing.  That insult almost  made this too easy, Kame should never have fell for that.  With Kame in  retreat mode, Anne's fist flew straight to the girls unprotected chin,  rocking her head backwards with the impact.  Anne thought that there was  nothing more satisfying than landing a good solid punch like that, and  this one ranked right up there with the best. 

"FUUUUCCKKK",  Kame's mind screamed as she saw what was about to happen and knew that  she might be in serious trouble.  Anne had played her, the girl had  never fallen for her 'slow' act, and seemed to just be waiting for Kame  to really attack.  That 'newbie' thing was probably intended to drive  her to do just that.  Now she was in retreat and realized that her right  arm was wayyy out of position and her left arm, was taking its sweet  time getting back home for defense.  When she saw the look in Anne's  eyes, Kame knew what was coming, and try as she might, her retreat, her  left arm nor her right arm was enough to stop Anne's fist from slamming  into her chin from below.  The bright light that blazed through her  brain seemed to make the entire ring brighter for an agonizingly long  second, then...........
