We do have a water maker. It's a Katadyn PowerSurvivor 40E that our dad actually had installed 20+ years ago when the boat was hauled out in Mexico. In the next two videos you'll see Nathalie and I got it working and we were making water! 1.5 gal/hr, but we need to add more solar and battery power so we can leave it running 24/7. We've been able to maintain our water levels as of now though, but would be nice to be able to fill our tanks before big trips. Right now we have a Garmin In-reach that has been great when we are out of service range, but a satellite phone is something else we are considering looking into for big ocean crossings.
