Warning LONG post ahead Txt is the top dog when it comes to boy groups in the 4th generation of kpop due to their popularity being equal in Korea as well as in the West (the majority of 4th Gen boy groups Stray Kids, ATEEZ, Enhypen, etc.) have huge international popularity while not having huge hype in Korea. Txt (Tomorrow X(By) Together) are from Big Hit entertainment aka the same agency as BTS, so since their debut, the nickname they were introduced with was “BTS’ younger brother group.” However, they have long since outgrown that title, and now antis use it as a negative insult (or some BTS fans try and use it in a kind way but Txt fandom isn't a huge fan of it 😅) Since you guys are big BTS fans the two groups have an extremely close relationship and hang out with one another in their free time. TXT usually keeps their relationship with BTS very private for obvious reasons but RM told Soobin (txt leader) that he can express their closeness and talk about it and they have since been more open about it. They debuted in 2019 with the biggest hype to this date for a kpop boy group, they have no set positions only a leader, and all 5 members are talented in every area. They do every genre and always keep us on our toes since they always switch it up. TXTs whole concept if you will is ‘growing up’ and telling stories about their life or gen z in general throughout their albums. They are a very story telling group when it comes to concepts, albums, music videos, choreography etc so they have A LOT of lore (so when you watch a txt music video, the odds of some not making sense to you is extremely high, since they go in a certain order) If you guys react to a guide I HIGHLY recommend one by the channel Beomie Bear it’s an hour long but it’s got everything you need in it. The first 8 minutes are a history between txt and bts and a bit of their past otherwise it’s like the seventeen guide you watched when taking about the members individually. For rock sounding songs I’d recommend: 0X1=LOVESONG This song was voted by billboard as the best kpop song of 2021. RM helped translate some of the English verses to Korean and helped name the title track. It’s still my favorite txt to this day. Dear Sputnik This song is a bside from their Chaos Chapter Freeze album. It was produced by the txt member HueningKai. Good Boy Gone Bad Title track from their album minisode 2 Thursdays child Frost A bside of the chaos chapter freeze. It’s their first hyper punk song and it’s insanely good. There is a MV for it but it’s 100000% storyline based and you won’t get what’s going on so I’d HIGHLY recommend the performance video because, it’s simply amazing and you can hear the full song and see the full dance. Other songs I’d recommend -Sugar Rush Ride (latest Korean title track released this year) - Back For More (came out last week featuring Brazilian artist Anitta. They debuted the performance at the VMAs and it’s was insane) - Tinnitus (Afrobeat song went viral on tiktok) - Devil By The Window (darker song with a Billie Eilish touch, has a performance MV) -Runaway ( was their first comeback song and is classic pop)
