First their company nor their CEO was broke by any means, all the stories about him starving and selling his car was shown to be false. The girls were put up in an expensive penthouse from the beginning. So with their rise the song Cupid was stolen from some eastern European artists, even though the original song was in another language the lyrics were even the same on top of the melody being copied. So that was their first controversy, but they recovered quickly and took off due to going VIRAL on tiktok, listeners on Spotify quickly increasing and getting great deals like the Barbie movie, then the whole 3rd party poaching + the abrupt pause in promotions came out. We found out that the company PAID tiktok $6 million to push the song so it would go viral and it did. The girls have trainee debt and they were not being paid for the songโs success and with the recent copyright battle between the label & distribution company, it's likely they won't see any money going forward either.
