The Future of Patreon 💙

Howdy Gamers.

I want to start this post by thanking you. Every person who contributed to this Patreon, whether for a week, a month, or over five years, has been instrumental to my growth as a creator. Kicking in a few bucks monthly to keep the lights on has kept me floating through every step of the journey.

This year has been a wild ride for me, personally and professionally. Videos, livestreams, podcasts, traveling, books, side projects, recovering from severe burnout, and being a human being... it never ends for Mistah 'O' Bwian.

This year, I've finally accepted that I'm in over my head and need help. I need to expand the team, delegate, focus on the things that REALLY matter, and make a big splash. It took me far too long to get to this point, but that's the human experience. Live, learn, adapt, and grow.

My Patreon has always come secondary, and I hate that. I already make tons of videos, livestreams, and podcasts. I do "all the things all the time," so what more can I do without sacrificing my sanity and fueling a growing bald spot? I'm already stretched too thin regarding content as Bricks 'O' Brian. More of B'O'B is not the answer.

But there is something we do that severely lacks content, that people want to see more of, and that I want to make more awesome. 👀

I love Pro Gamer's Guide and know you do, too.

Exploring meaningful life lessons through a video game world is fantastic. We get to see the stories of Brian and the pet pals unfold with epic illustrations by Kevin A. Hinkle. It's the culmination of my work in the past five-plus years as a full-time creator.

We've developed two picture books, a coloring book, a podcast, several music tracks, dozens of creatures, characters, emotes, and more lore than you can shake a stick at.

Developing this world with Kevin has been so incredibly fun... Why not keep the fun beyond the occasional Kickstarter and give the people what they WANT? 👀

That's why I'm happy to announce officially...

The Brian Saviano Patreon will transition into the Pro Gamer's Guide Fan Club*! 💙

This page will be the new home of all things PGG-related. New stories, illustrations, community-voted projects, lore drops, character profiles, and so many unique ideas will come to life here!

We aim to bring Pro Gamer's Guide to as many people as possible by crafting quality stories with which people resonate. We have to build up the repertoire before that next book, right? 👀

Here's a snapshot of the new benefits coming:

Here's the roadmap for the next few weeks:

TODAY: Announce the transition from Brian Saviano/Bricks 'O' Brian to Pro Gamer's Guide to existing Patreon supporters and the general public.

Friday, July 26th: Explain the revamped/new benefits of supporting Pro Gamer's Guide on Patreon in detail during the "Nitty Gritty of the Gamer's Guide" Panel at BOB CON.

August 1st: A detailed outline of all newly announced benefits will be available on Patreon. Branding and tiers will begin to transition to PGG.

August 21st: Debut the newly renovated ProGamersGuide.com 👀

September 2nd: All branding and tiers will be officially switched to Pro Gamer's Guide. The first community polls and discussions will kick off on this date. Any previous benefits will be retired in favor of the new offerings. New offerings begin from this date onward.

September 4th: New goals and benchmarks are announced to jumpstart support and put the first epic projects into production (as voted by the community on Patreon).

October 1st: The Pro Gamer's Guide on Patreon is officially launched! We'll continuously adjust benefits and systems to suit the new offerings best.

I'm over the moon about this next chapter of Pro Gamer's Guide. This is another step in the long journey toward gaming greatness, and I can't wait to embark alongside you.
