PineAP module for Frieren
Added 2025-03-17 15:55:53 +0000 UTCThis module allows to use PineAP for passive scanning in Frieren. It is tested on OpenWRT 23 and should support OpenWRT 24.
To install it you must first prepare the version with the pineap-extended-compatibility that is included in this release. This is because due to copyright you can't distribute those binaries...
The release are sources and module, what you have to use is the module that is in the pineap folder. You have to copy it to Frieren in this path: /usr/share/frieren/modules
To use it you have to have the Radio you are going to use to scan without anything configured. You can do this with Luci by deleting all synthfaces that are up on that Radio.

Managed to fix the pineapd seg faults by patching pineapd properly, 0040e994 PTR_s_echo_'44b65156'_0040e994 addr s_echo_'44b65156'_0041c0d4 if you change that echo from it's original value to echo '44b65156' it stops giving segfaults, however, a new error emerged :) Failed to connect to socket at path: /var/run/pineapd.sock: No such file or directory
