Release of SmallCoffee 0.2 for Coffee Connaisseur Member

Hello everyone! It’s the big day! :D
Here’s version 0.2 of SmallCoffee. I’m so excited to share it with you. I had so much fun working on this release. Taking more time to finish it really allowed me to enjoy working on the project and to add details I might have overlooked otherwise.

This release includes 3 new scenes, two of which feature animations:

• One with Sarah (with animation + sound)

• One with Elise (with animation + sound)

• One with Camille

(For more details on how to progress through the different scenes if you feel lost, I’ve provided the various paths below this post.)

• In parallel with these scenes, I’ve added a few other small features:

  • Added sound effects to certain scenes.

  • Reworked the interface to make it clear whether something is clickable or not.

  • Added a few dialogues in the café and the classroom.

  • Added several text message conversations.

  A few word about the game

  For the future, I’d like to incorporate gameplay elements, perhaps with stats and games that would use those stats to determine whether certain scenes are triggered or not. Or maybe other mechanics. However, I still need to think about how to implement these ideas into the game.

   For now, most of my time is focused on working on the scenes and renders, which I believe is the current priority.
  I ask myself if I should introduce variations in the scenes, including men or even aliens. Why not, right? I think I could work on incorporating those elements step by step on the side, without taking over too much of the main content, which is naturally the futas,

  
  Overall, there are always things to improve in the process, the writing, the interface, and the average quality of my outputs, but for this release, I’m quite satisfied with the combination of animations and still images. I’m considering using this method again for other scenes, though it’s possible that not all future scenes will include animations. Maybe I could reuse some animations and adapt them for other characters? Let me know what you think.

  Walkthrough Sarah et Elise path

  Overall, you just need to go to the café, walk through the hallway, choose "Hang Out" before going to sleep, and sleep between each scene to trigger the next one. If you do these three things, you cannot miss the scenes with Sarah and Elise.

  Here’s a more detailed path:

  • To follow Sarah's path, start by selecting "Hang Out" before sleeping until the scene where you wake Sarah with music appears.

  • After a few days, you can find her in the café.

  • Then, resume choosing "Hang Out" to trigger the scene with Sacha.

  • Next, you’ll run into Sarah on the stairs (you can go back and forth in the staircase or sleep and try again to meet her). She will suggest visiting her place.

  • The next day, you’ll find Elise in the café.

  • Wait a day, then go to the hallway and receive a message from Sarah inviting you over again (here, too, you can move back and forth in the hallway to try to activate the message).

  • Afterward, you’ll meet Sarah in the café.

  • The following day, you’ll meet Sarah and Elise in the café, leading to either a scene with Elise or a scene with Sarah when you end the day.
    After completing one of these scenes, you can replay it by going to the café.
