Patreon Tier Change (only upsides!) and Discord

A quick house keeping post! I was going to include this with a post of an exclusive long form interview with Sawyer (Heaven's Gate adherent that was briefly featured in the latest video) that's coming out on Thursday, but apparently some of the tinkering I've been doing today might have caused a bunch of Discord users to get barraged with messages out of the blue. So - very sorry if that's you! 

On that note: The first update is I've started a Discord server for Patrons. I might keep it as just for Patrons or make it publicly available with Patrons getting special Discord perks. Please give me feedback on what you think works best on that front or any other Discord tips. I'm completely brand new to the whole thing and am just figuring it out.

I've also added a new LOWER Patreon tier. It's pretty self explanatory. The new $2 Tier gives you anything that is not going up on the free channel ever or in the near future. All EXCLUSIVE content. PLUS the Discord as an extra sweetener.

The $5 tier which you're already on remains the same, the EARLY Premier perk is still available to this tier only.

So basically if you've been a Patron because you didn't want to miss out on anything exclusive, or just really wanted to support but would have chosen a lower option if it was available but never really cared about the early premiers - rejoice! You can now keep a little more in the back pocket each month!

If you really like the early access/5 bucks has always been the right amount for you - great! Stay right where you are.

One other thing I'll clarify is the lower $2 tier will ALWAYS provide access to ANYTHING that is not on the free channel. I.e. if I were to ever make the dreaded decision of pay-walling some old content, the lower tier will give you access to that. That's a pretty big call to make, and I haven't decided to pull the trigger on it yet, but there are some select videos that don't bring any revenue in and/or are made nearly invisible by the algorithm. I might need to make the call that the best way they can serve the channel is making them "archived" Patreon exclusives. It wont be every second video or anything though, and it'll only be done once they've been good n free for at least a year.
