Conspiracies: October Surprise and The Clinton Body Count [Casting Broad]

For this bonus I thought I’d “animate” a bit from an old podcast that pretty much no one has heard but I’ve always thought had a lot of good yarns on it. While I’m posting this, I thought I’d gauge enthusiasm on a rough idea I’ve got for a video series - “Conspiracy Series”

Basically what it would be is a series of videos dedicated to Conspiracies that are far enough out there that they’re still not mainstream opinion - but are plausible enough as to not fall into the “tinfoil hat” area. The sorts of conspiracies you can bring up with your most skeptical of friends and have them intrigued.

Next feature video is “The Only One Who Deserved to Stay: The Case of David Bain”. I am hoping it will be ready by about mid June.

Conspiracies: October Surprise and The Clinton Body Count [Casting Broad]

Comments

I’m less a fan of conspiracy theory and more a fan of understanding why they pop up when they do and are embraced as they are, ie. the pathology of conspiratorial ideology. If you could find a way of framing the theories, not so much as mysteries to be unwound (unfortunately they never will be, otherwise they wouldn’t be relegated to the world of conspiracy theory) but as symptoms of a rotten political system and a population who find it easier to imagine labyrinthine conspiracies than to accept that our society as currently constituted makes these abuses of power inevitable.

Would love to hear about more conspiracies from both of you! You have a great dynamic

Timothy Adams

Aww yeah boy! Missed this post, but definitely do it. I suppose it's to put out something in between the big ones? Whatever the reason, I'm down for whatever. You make it, I'll watch it! 🤘😁🍻

Sick Boy

Yes. More.

Banana Pan

That's a lot of suicides. Like every third person they knew committed suicide. I understand, that if the Clintons ordered these deaths who committed these actions. But, that is A LOT of suicides. That's way above the national average. I read though the explanations and they were just "he was depressed" or "she was depressed" or "he was a chain smoker". There was one couple, the Arkansas State Trooper and his wife both committed suicide. So, the Clintons choose their friends based on either having depression or a bad heart. Because that's what this list tells me. If this list states that every Clinton Body Count member most likely died of a heart attack or a suicide that just tells me that the hitman know what will play with cops. The one former White House intern killed during a robbery at Starbucks is suspicious to me, because a former White House intern is the manager of a Starbucks? I thought being a White House intern would give someone more connections than that. So, one might argue, 'so the Clintons forced the robbers to rob the place?''. I would respond: Not force, but a Clinton associate could have let the robbers know about the July 4th receipts, then that associate could have been watching the Starbucks then call the police during the robbery forcing the robbers' hand. I mean, when your debunking you can't just say "he killed himself, he was depressed, duh..." and expect people to believe it every time.

I'm not sure who you're talking with in this video, so I'm not trying to disrespect him. However, I think it's a bit disingenuous to compare the number of people he interacts with to that amount of people that a couple of billionaires with old money with one of them being the President of the United States. Plus, these aren't all suspicious when you apply just a little bit of critical thought. The guy with the heart attack? We know he was lifting weights. He then has a heart attack and drops the bar on his chest and it rolls to his throat and crushes it. Further, it is not unusual at all for a suicide to be followed by a suicide of someone who knew the person.

please do the conspiracy series. The idea is amazing and you're the perfect creator to make it. this video was really really good

Tim Proffitt

I must have sensed it haha Thanks Matt :)

Josh Evans

Funny you ask. Stuck in processing for some reason. So it’s minutes or hours away but it’s very close. If it’s not up very soon I’ll have to go to bed but will def be here tomorrow!

Matt Orchard

Any updates Matt? :(

Josh Evans

That is a tough one! I'd say Bill comes across as SO nice in fact that he is probably the worst of the two. I'll admit that's likely a cynical take

Josh Evans

Good -cough- vid. Really -cough- enjoyed it. Hahaha!

Danielle Folsom

Jade Wooding

Love the addition of this type of content!

Justin

Great stuff Matt! Love the Conspiracy Theory idea. I’ve never heard of the Bain case, I’ll look forward to it.

ReSearcher

Juicy stuff...It's amazing how dirty political operatives were back in the day, you wonder if anything has really changed or if they've just gotten better at doing their shady shit on the DL.

Matt - Re: Regan/Iran, there's a precedent there. During the 1968 U.S. Presidential Campaign, the Nixon people were back-channeling with the South Vietnamese in order to torpedo the Paris peace talks, which were scheduled the week before the election. LBJ didn't call him out on it because he didn't want the South Vietnamese President to find out that the C.I.A. had his offices bugged and that the F.B.I. had the South Vietnamese embassy in Washington D.C. bugged too.

Nice! If you're obsessed with it then unfortunately there will be nothing new for you. Because there's very scant interview footage/audio with Bain, the video is proving to be in part an exercise in deciding what can be left out. Because if you were to unpack all the evidence it would be a straight hour plus of "talk, talk, talk." I hope you enjoy the presentation though. I'm also hoping the people not at all familiar with it get a kick out of hearing the story. As you well know, there are so many bizarre details that I'm expecting a lot of people learning about it for the first time to be going "WHAT!?" at several points. Anyone not familiar with it is encouraged to not google in advance of the vid!

Matt Orchard

Love the video mate. I've been obsessed with the Bain case since I was a wee child. I remember watching the verdicts come down live on TV. Very curious to see your take on them!

JohnKeysKeys
