Well, Welsh Rat, that's the point, isn't it. If he *fears* for her, it's because he *cares* for her. If he *cares* for her, he is vulnerable to being hurt himself - something he apparently hasn't admitted to anyone (especially HIMSELF) in recent memory.

Some creatures might not want it, but it's clear from the rest of the citizens of Treehollow appreciate her, even if she's a little "strange". Is this fear for when she leaves these now familiar environs?
