I know this is old but on Youtube Cinema Therapy (a filmmaker and a therapist talk about films) talked with the directors of this movie. I'm not sure if it's only on their Patreon, but if it isn't I think you'd love the directors' insights into the filmmaking process of this and how to deal with religion and the characters.
