Gotta struggle through it I guess. Depression is indeed a fucking bitch! It's a good thing you can do art nowadays, and that it helps. As for the self portrait - it looks amazing! The troll mountain too - great stuff. Looking forward to the finished artwork. :D

Thanks! This wasn't meant as a cry for help, but kind words and advice is much appreciated! I've been battling depression for... every day, in some form, even in my higher periods, for 25-28 years now. So it's more of just ... acknowledging where I am and getting used to being open about it. Painting definitely helps.

Depression is a bitch!!! You probably hear this all the time, but your art is, to me, some of the most interesting I have seen for years...... and you should be proud of it :) I myself once had a depression, and painting helped me.... I did a painting called “no way out” which was just a white canvas, red splatter and a bullet embeded in the middle..... I really hope you will start to feel better soon.
