I would find it interesting to see how it would have played out if Wilhelm would have came out before his brother died. Would they have automatically proclaimed August as the next heir apparent or embraced Wilhelm as the first gay monarch? Granted how it did played out potentially created the most drama. But like you said, same storyline over and over again.
