I mentioned this in the TF IV review comments, but I'd like to see TF AC/III at some point. I get it if it's too soon to go back that that well though. But another recommendation for down the line would be Space Mega Force/Super Aleste. It was the game Compile made after M.U.S.H.A., and arguably the best game in the Aleste series. It's certainly the best looking (and quite arguably best sounding). But it's specifically interesting because it has a difficulty mode called wild, in which enemies leave suicide bullets. The effect is something close to an early bullet hell, and there's nothing else like it (at least of this quality, E.D.F. has a suicide bullet mode but it's a mediocre game overall) on a 16-bit system. It seems to break all the rules of what the SNES/SFC was capable of, in terms of parallax & on-screen sprites.

2020-11-23 17:24:33 +0000 UTCWith all of your hard work on Slam 3, I want to nominate something you are familiar with to give you a little break. I'm curious about Dodonpachi II: Bee Storm, Guwange, and Ibara and maybe you've played those. So I nominate the one you want out of those 3.
