Commissioner's Note

Turn of the next century. People were filled hope for the future. That quickly came crashing down with the w2k computer scare (thought all tech was going to malfunction) and the 9/11 terrorism attacks but it did cause a brief surge of patriotism. Though the big innovation of the decade was phones.

Cellphones started as bricks sized portable phones but at the end of the decade had become mini computers you could hold In Your hand. Info was available at your fingertips. History, ration, and the ladies of course, plus much much more. Fashion borrowed heavily from the previous century as well as coming up with new styles.

As well as the era of the t-shirt whatever you wanted on a shirt was available The decade held a lot of political and social strife as well. But the country keeps moving on. It also had the nation first African American president. It was the era of the nerd. It had gone from living in the basement to being mainstream due to an increase of superhero action movies and the internet in general. Seriously in that decade you could find anything on the internet.

Including movies witch inspired modern streaming services. Here is what I got for 2000. Let me know what you think. Almost sad to see this series end.
