Added 2020-11-11 21:37:49 +0000 UTChi everyone, i hope you're all okay ♥️ i just wanted to stop by briefly this evening to apologise for my absence- i'm hoping that in the coming days i'll be able to start establishing new routines, and at least partially recover my ability to work and get some things done.
i think in some ways, having a puppy is a bit like having a baby- wednesday requires constant supervision and honestly i'm exhausted and feeling very lost. we have our first formal puppy class tomorrow, so hopefully i can get a little advice (and moral support lol) to help us settle a bit more.
thank you deeply for your patience and your kind words- especially from those of you who help remind me that she's just a baby, and that things will improve. i did vast amounts of research in the lead up to all of this, but somewhere/somehow i don't think i really registered the physical and mental cost of it all.
i hope this doesn't all sound too negative- i'm very much in love with wednesday, and have faith that she will grow into a wonderful companion and friend, but in the classic way of autism™ the loss of routines and the social/physical demand of it all is getting to me a bit, especially as i am doing it all 99% alone, with only a brief hour break each day 😌
anyway, hopefully things will level out a bit soon so that i can start sharing some worthwhile things with you all again. thank you sincerely for sticking with me while i adjust- reading your replies is currently a small highlight in my very tired days!
