To me I understand where Euphee is going with the track. The fakeouts, the funky 1st measure bar that’s contrasting the following next 3 bars. I can get down with that and I actually think the crowd would react really well to it. I do however have thoughts on the sound that drops on the first beat of measure 1. I think there is way too many layered sounds. It sounds way too over done. I get it’s supposed to invoke suspense but it doesn’t need to be 5 layers of high frequency pumped sounds. The 1st drop lasts like 32 bars and is a terrible for a DJ trying to use the song in their mix. I can’t stand when people create giganticly long drawn out breakdowns and builds that make up more percentages of the tune that the actual groove. Like the first drop is almost useless because it just goes straight back into a breakdown. It’s like. We get it dude. Amazing theatrical sound design. It’s taking me somewhere but it inevitably just turns into “I’m going nowhere fast” 🤷🏻♂️
