Did a bit of research, didn't like the adult hairstyle of gwen, so used the more iconic look for this.
So Apperently she got the alien watch at some point in the show.
Not sure if only the wearer gets changed in their human state as well, or if people fall victim to transformations as well from aliens.
Decided to add a little extra for this. 4 Aliens Forms Designs have been drawn and added in the attachment.

In her child design she looked like a pretty girl that would grow up to be a hot teenager if her adult form in the Ben 10000 episode was anything to go by. Then in Alien force her new design was so plain. As a kid this didn't bother me but now that I have an opinion on the female form it's a pretty jarring and disappointing change.
