I legit never connected him not having feet to Feet of Clay or Ozymandius, such a great parallel!! I just thought Radahn’s feet rotted off because y’know Scarlet Rot and to show how reliant he is not on Leonard for mobility.

2025-03-01 00:30:50 +0000 UTCIf I may add one more comment, Skyen I think that you missed out on a grand opportunity to remark on how this paragon of the old regime is staged to be toppled by a full on party - the many uniting to defeat the Powers That Be, there's something to removing monuments and pushing for progress that was emphasized to be a "communal task" to be undertaken by a mob and not just a single solo hero

And it also makes sense... everything about that Rot.

2025-02-27 00:04:43 +0000 UTCsomething i'd like to note is that george RR. martin is the writer for the majority of elden ring's backstory. so, while austria during the start of WW1 really isn't directly referenced, the concepts of "a collapsing empire ravaging the world as it falls" isn't alien to GRRM or elden ring.
