Pill Pod 208 - Mark Carney: Vibes Banker

8:44 from end. Yes, he’s taking from the FDR playbook: “ my fellow class, you see what actually took place in the Soviet Union, communism is very popular right now, if you don’t give the working class the sense of redistributable wealth thru Federal social spending you will lose everything to commies, and wander in the capitals of Europe as the ghosts of aristocratic wealth. So yes, if surplus labor too high, there could be revolution. I agree that’s what he’s saying… implying you have to compromise a little and give society a little of ‘your’ wealth to avoid historical or political Marxism.

To add to my point, this episode is the episode I would share with someone whom I know isn't normally attuned to the concepts explored in this podcast

It is unfortunate that this episode did not perform that well. I feel rather then framing it as a Canada elections episode, maybe if it was framed as analysis of a Banker's theory on morals and it's implications maybe more people would have clicked it. I truly think this material can have an international reach with a slightly different framing

Piece of white bread, lmao Per Victors Catholic garb commentary "look at these costumed larpers, look at what you're wearing I can't believe you can take yourself seriously," the obvious place the mind goes to is the much bigger, moreso believed (but not consciously as a religion) in practicing religious attire, which is *the suit* of capitalists, the business casual. The different classes or castes still identified by garb. The blue collar assemblers in blue jeans and oil soaked shirts. The white collar engineers in khakis and polo. The man in the high corner office castle with his 24/7 suit, the popes garb. That's no less cosplayed, social norms as religion. And now the anti religion of technology CEO antichrists in their tshirts and sweatpants, rocking gold chains. The end truly is nigh. Although in general I think garb of capitalism is sinking towards the ground of the commoner people, more white collar goes to work dressed blue collar, even managements getting more "informal," "I'm just a normal guy these are my normal guy clothes."
