2025-02-25 14:20:08 +0000 UTCYeah I figured, and it makes sense given how even modern existential therapy falls under the humanistic paradigm. But I feel like this view all too easily conforms to (neo)liberal ideology, because it’s like “yeah climate change is gonna kill us but you can choose to see life as being even more precious than you would have if you know you have a good chance of retiring at 60” and this promotes accepting the political status quo and being content with just changing your perspective.
