I had the same problem Yvette I’m glad I’m not the only one lol. When it asks you for that password to watch the video, if you look right below the title of the video you’ll see in all lowercase words “password- whatever” and that’s the password it’s asking for. It took me a few minutes to find. Hope this helps you and anyone else.

The backlog on here is enough to keep me invested for a month. You guys have some of the best content, and dissect interrogations in a way that is compelling and informative. I can just imagine being interrogated and pointing out the techniques that the detective uses on me. Hopefully that never happens, but some people in these videos are normal people who had a really bad day. Hope all is well, and I eagerly await the next video!

IT'S MAN HOURS the product isn't the footage or the narrators voice it's his breakdown and analysis of the psychological points of an interrogation if you don't value that highly enough to spend a dollar don't. These videos have saved my life on more then a few occasions. I have been a homeless drug addict more than once and I can say understanding twisted individuals has helped me understand the wrong doings In my own life. I really wish I could contact the creators and personally thank them for the help they have provided to me. Many people will never see the parallel In their lives to the people who committed the crimes In their lives because of ego or many other reasons, but I will never let go of this channel/creators because I need videos like this to stop myself from horrible acts of atrocity.

It was like Christmas when I became a JCS patron about 5 months ago.. the moment I realised that my fave content creator on YouTube had videos available in abundance on Patreon was seriously an exciting moment! All these months and ongoing pandemic later, I've basically reached the point where I really don't know whether to just re-watch the same videos for the third time and watch one new video (typically) per month OR whether to come back in another 6-12 months to have that same feeling again! I would like to go with the latter but I somehow think the temptation to watch newly dropped videos will be too strong! Regardless of what way I go.. I definitely won't be unpledging! As it stand JCS is at the top of the Patreon subscriber list and likely earning around $40,000 per month, so losing one or two subscribers ultimately won't make much difference to them anyway. But I love supporting top content creators, and wouldn't consider unplugging even if they were making a million a month! I guess It's the same reason many of us pay for a Netflix and other subscriptions because we want access to their content. JCS content, especially if you're into true crime and psychology, Is as good as it gets. Intelligent, well thought out, well produced, incredibly mentally stimulating and overall just outstanding! I'm actually surprised they haven't been approached by Netflix, Apple or Amazon etc yet, given a huge budget to create content for an even wider audience. And who knows.. maybe they have been!? Until that occours I will be staying put and patiently awaiting any/all new content to drop!!

I figured Patreon was a play on the word "Patron" . As in contributing to a person or organization so that they are free to work uncompromised by financial burden. I wouldn't pull funding from a cancer research center because people died of cancer last month. I wouldn't pull funding from Mozart because he didn't write a #1 hit all year. And I won't pull funding from Jim. Mainly because I don't want him to compromise the quality of his work in order to meet some arbitrary deadline.

Got to agree. Plus the idea of Patreon is support, not purchase - they’re not contractually obliged. I also think it’s very canny to make it just $1 - bet they’d make less if it was $5-10.

I've been pledged since this started. Meaning I've paid a total of $16 for roughly 40/50 hours of some of the best content I've seen in a long time. I quite frankly find it astonishing that people are now bitching. Try find me another Patreon channel that charges $1 to access their ENTIRE backlog of exclusive content, all of which you can watch as many times as you like. As the $1 Tier states, you're paying for what is already on here, not a continuous flow of new content... They never even promised that... Like not even once... Don't think it's worth it? Leave. It's relatively simple.

This Patreon account makes close to $40,000 per month - it's reasonable to expect something you paid for, especially with so many people out of work. On the other hand, shit happens, but If people commit to paying in exchange for new content monthly, they should receive it or they should be refunded. It's only $1 dollar though so who really cares? I get the "it's just a dollar" thing, but I also understand the frustration. The outrage isn't over $1, it's over $40,795 +/- per month to produce nothing for the private audience whom actually choose to pay versus view for free. People in the TV and media industry regularly produce more content per month for 1/10 of the salary. Just some perspective. Videos can take time, I understand that – but 30 days is enough time for a single criminology video, even if it's a quickie.
