I don't get the sense she's overly full of shit.

She sounds so disingenuous.

They’re on YouTube!

Where are the other 3 parts????

I would be so uncomfortable being in this interview, I shut down when I'm in shock so I might have felt compelled to fake emotion so people didn't think I was a sociopath or something.

Rosie

I hate the predictable "femme fatale, evil woman corrupts the man" stuff, there's a weird tendency to always blame the other woman as much as or even more than than the cheating man.. I don't think it's good to be with a married man, but the man is the one cheating, that's much worse, especially if he lies.

Rosie

I like how she suddenly throws her balled up tissue hard into the garbage can, and he jumps and quickly looks. Got him there by the pants.

She's innocent. She was in a sketchy situation and tried to save face but there's nothing here that seems guilty

“A great honor” riiiiiight

this looks new! PS: her vocal fry es ANNOYING A.F.

More to the point, she won't shut up and she has some weird vocal things that remind me of Stephanie Lazarus. "NOOOOOooooooooOOOOOOO!" "Yep(pup)"

Oh my God, she won't shut up.

I think it'll end up on one of their YouTube channels, like the Brendt Christensen one did

35

Lol same here I was halfway into it.. Will it come back? Or is it somewhere else?

Dude I was thinking the same thing haha I watch that one daily lol

where did the grant amato case go?!?!!?

ANOTHER floridan?!?! what a nutty place.

Yes, the brother really was the complete opposite. The half brother also seems like a decant bloke as well. They all seemed like good people apart from this Grant character. Such a terrible waste of good hard working people.

Bingo

Thought the same shit lmfao

His brother gave him tens of thousands of dollars and was supporting him but was driving a 97 Honda Accord??

really really really hate this guy. especially when he starts talking about “being constantly reminded of all the trouble he caused”. like he was so immature or lacking empathy (his brother asking him why he wouldn’t show remorse for the financial issues) it seems he either chose not to or couldn’t understand what he was doing was wrong.

speaking of pr0n doesn't the same guy own all the companies and didn't they allow rape videos on most of the sites until a girl sued

It’s easy to blame individual sex workers, but you never see people blaming the casinos for people having addictions of compulsion. Ultimately it was his choice to send so much and screw his family over - it’s not like there is some magic threshold where the sex worker has a moral obligation to stop making their bag. Society hates us and denigrates us regardless, so why wouldn’t we take the money?

That's what I was thinking. I presume the narrator was speaking specifically about Amato in that part of the intro.

Jason McPartland

I think after like, 100k being paid to someone for essentially just talking to them, the recipient has a moral responsibility to tell them to get help. It's an addiction as is clear from the case. No sympathy for Grant though, he was clearly a sociopath who destroyed lives for his own gain and is fully responsible for their actions.

What should I Google? Lol I could figure it out,, but if you know what’s easiest would be helpful. Thanks

Yeesh. She was providing a service of intimacy and he should have been fully aware that that's what was going on and nothing more, but it's a lot easier to excuse a dude for "not understanding" how camming works and blame the eww gross sex worker for "scamming him" in the way that he expressly consented to multiple times by paying her for her services. There's no need to cover him for his incel shit

Luca

If you google this guy's obsession, you can literally see everything of hers on twitter. No OnlyFans fee required. Just insane what people get obsessed with these days.

Yuna

yty565 worked for me

What's the new password?

I had to pause. Maybe it's bc I'm best friends with my sibling too, but it's the murder of his brother that has broken my heart the most. I'm literally crying as I'm typing this. Such a beautiful and supportive person is just gone, and all because of this ungrateful piece of shit.

Calm down pal. Come to Jesus moment is just an expression. It means it's time to be truthful and realise core values. He basically is telling him that this is the time to tell the truth. He doesn't literally means fucking accept Jesus into your heart.

Wojciech Tolsdorf

True Crime Loser - you crack me up every time !!!

Bradford Jane

"This is the time to come to Jesus and be honest" Why the fuck are so many cops fucking useless religious sub-humans? What a joke of a legal system we have. Grown adults believing in fairy tales running this country. No wonder everything is fucked up.

His nasally voice and self entitled psychotic behavior is like nails on a chalkboard to me

His poor brother at the end. Truly sad and afraid. Yet he still can look his brother in the eye and talk to him. So fkin sad.

investigators had many chances to put pressure on him and caught him in his lies.. eg. when they told him about the shooing and he didn't even ask if any body is dead or not!! This was a very good moment to caught him off guard and i m sure if any of them told him " come one, you didn't even ask if the shooting lead to somebody getting killed" .. do you know they are killed already? how come a man full of emotions that he can't check on his house because he fears something wrong happened to his family how come when he knows there was a shooting he does't ask if they are alright or not... i think investigators could have done a better job

"I've been blamed for everything thats gone on this past year"....uh yeah. How deluded can you get? Everything IS your fault, loser! He makes it sound like 'stealing drugs from my job/stealing money from entire family/taking out loans in other people's names and homes I don't own to blow all the money on a woman I don't know who I've never met and lives in Bulgaria!!!!' could happen to anyone. No. Wish the parents had kicked him the hell out and pressed charges and got him arrested for fraud. This guy need repercussions to him him square in the bald spot. The coddling stunted him emotionally.

Imagine the detective that cracked Russel Williams?! 10 minutes flat!

Hopefully without internet access.

He keeps Bulgaria hours.

But weirdly IF you confess and plead guilty, the odds are you get a 'more generous' punishment. Which is fucked up. Like 'legal' coercion.

Like that BADASS guy who cracked Russel William! He would have had this loser pissing himself within 10mins.

No, just used to being able to blab his way out of his shit. This time, he is getting called out on it, he goes slow to attempt to not trip up.

And he loved and hated him BEFORE this, for being such a thief and liar before turning into a killer.

I think I heard in another podcast that she returned some/all of the money. But I could be wrong.

hahaha doesn't matter how sweet of an alibi he had after being interrogated about his family for 2.5 hours and not once asking what was going on and why he was there.... you'd think while planning to murder your family you'd at least watch a few of these only a dollar to subscribe!...

This one was the only one that bored me on the entire JCS patreon - that male detective was basically saying the same thing over and over again for hours.

Parker Holmes

When he wasn't cracking at all and only slightly amending his story it was pretty clear he felt no remorse for what he had done. Prosecution illuminating that literally the first thing he did after executing his family was dump 600 more dollars into Silvie's website sealed the deal. Yeah he was sad and lonely, but more than that he was self-entitled, and selfish. He deserves to rot in prison.

coomer moment

Geez louise

Isn't the point of JCS analyses to elucidate things we may not have otherwise noticed?

Julius Martin

Funny how everyone here is shitting on the cop for his mistake, considering the only reason any of ya'll noticed is cuz JCS mentioned it outright in the video, Otherwise, ya'll wouldn't have noticed. Freakin parrots , lol

this detective is so bad loll

That male detective absolutely botched that interrogation. The constant talking, lecturing and interrupting; his huffing and constantly shifting; and checking his phone every three fucking seconds....I hope he knows he fucked that up. And whoever let him stay in that room should be ashamed. Honestly embarrassing, and painful to watch.

so interesting that he already from the start speak in past tense about his family

I was wondering if it was some sort of signal to the other detective but its hard to tell. In some cases, the phone clearly doesn't have a call or notification but I agree, I feel like he does it far too many times. Just like being caught in the cycle of talking about his honesty. I do not think at any point he understood that Grant was not going to change his demeanor at all.

I won't lie... I got so distracted with that detective's phone, if I were being interrogated, I would have been like, "CAN YOU PAY ATTENTION TO THIS LIKE IT MATTERS?!?" Sheesh. How many times was he going to stare at his phone and even let it have the ringer still on?!?!

SpyroShurtagul

If the female detective were interrogating alone i bet she would have made him crack in 2 hours

Lingo

when they came back in the room that last time you can tell the female detective was just like "listen just shut the fuck up and let him talk okay???"

(Error 420)

There were a couple of moments it seemed like the male detective was even a little irritated that the female detective chimed in.

It's pronounced 'tomato'.

MrVacuumBrainBimbo

That's what I was thinking the whole time: These fools know about Sylvie, they need to be using her as leverage because they aren't ever going to find any better leverage for this guy than a certain Bulgarian camgirl.

MrVacuumBrainBimbo

Grand Tomato...

Pom

Shut the f up, Danny, go home, get another job, please!

Trauma Punks

you're jealous because we have walmarts

He: "She lives in Bulgaria." Cop: "What?" He: "Bulgaria." Cop: "Where is that?" He: "It's in europe, like outside of germany..." Maaaan you folks with your americentrism! Gnaaa there are like four countries inbetween :D

The detectives should have talked more about how SYLVIE would think of him as a coward forever if he doesn't tell the truth!

They point out the statement he makes when talking about revisiting Japan with his brother "We *were* planning on going back". Of course that could be a hint but I don't think it necessarily holds water. It could just mean that they were planning to at one time and weren't anymore, or he just wasn't sure if it was gonna happen still and it was on the back burner. If you wanna find subconscious tells in his speech go to when he is talking about his relationship with his brother and says "we *were* really close". That statement is very damning and can't be refuted because it directly implies that he knows his brother is gone. They say the male detective screwed up because he didn't let the suspect speak at certain points. I don't know if that's right or wrong, but to me it looks like he was doing that because he was trying to insure that the maximum amount of pressure was built up. Where I think he really screws up is in his bluffing, he is not very convincing lol. He does silly things like get up from his chair and make it seem like he is leaving, then says "Ok once I walk out that door, that's it" etc. but then he sits right back down and continues on in the same foolish manner as before. I think he is the worst detective I've seen in any of these videos. Honestly, as the suspect, I think even in a high stress situation like that I would not feel any intimidation from him. The female detective on the other hand is pretty damn intense. If i was stuck in a room with her I really doubt I would be able to hold out, but he seems to mess that up and depressurize things in a negative way. I think the more effective thing would have been for the male detective to actually leave when he said he was going to and then just have the female detective left behind saying "Last chance....this is it and he was totally serious" and then in the suspects mind is also the thought "Oh god what is he doing out there? Is he writing a report officially damning me?" etc. The male detective says he has been doing it for a long time, but that doesn't mean anything because clearly you can do something for years and do it half-assed lol.

Very well said. None is born exceptional at whatever they do. It takes a lot of effort, experience and time.

Damn! Even surgeons can't charge that for the expertise they get from so many years of experience.

I cackled

Filming his head from above is devastating

no he doesn't. he talks about past events in the past tense but he is very careful to say "cody IS 31" "my dad WORKS at a pharmacy."

... or the same sex.

I love when the brother is like " I could take you physically but if you had a knife or know where a gun is" LOLOL Jason telling it like it is

I'm an HONEST guy Grant!

This guy is the biggest fucking scumbag in the entire world. Imagine being such a pitiful leech that your brother has to work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week just to support your degenerate ass, and then after burning through their entire life savings and ruining their lives you just straight up murder the three of them because you couldn’t handle the consequences the only time in your life you’ve ever had to face them. I hope that all the bad things in life happen to him and nobody else but him.

oh my god when jason came in i started crying i want to hug him so bad

Everyone is saying the male det is trash but I think he's probably average, our perceptions might be a bit skewed as a decent portion of JCS's videos have exceptionally good interrogators

It's crazy how this guy is being interviewed for so long (I'm currently at the 1:25:00 mark of the interview) and STILL hasn't asked once why he's at the station.

Yes, and it's surprising he wasn't committed by then. His parents were way too forgiving. The fact that the brother even believed he was capable of it says a lot.

I agree. Though I love the 'just the facts' and hands-off overall approach of JCS, I think the captions and voice-over analysis, especially at critical moments, makes things more fascinating. Although I do like the less is more approach as, a *little* more would be nice. (Although, JCS, please stop freezing the video to do the voice over at crucial moments right *as the moment happens*. Do a replay for the voice over. It's hard to catch key expressions if you freeze unexpectedly right when they happen.

this doesn't help the "Florida Man" prefix either...

that Jason brother dude... hats off.

How could he spend all that much???!? My bank calls when I’m 200 bucks down

the male det. was really thrown for a loop lmao. Off day?

I did the math: $600 for 5000 tokens 90 tokens for 1 minute for 4 hours a day 5000/600= $0.21 (price per token) 0.21x90= $10.8 (price PER MINUTE) 240x10.8= $2592 PER DAY ON THIS WOMAN

I really felt sorry for his brother. He lost 3 of the dearest people in his life and a brother who was still alive.

His brother was an angel. Hugged Grant even after all of this. My heart breaks for him.

as a "bald" big nosed guy I resent that lol

Moral of the story... Bald people with big noses are a pretty accurate stereotype of evil.

Brendan P

The text was "We can't detain him yet" so he was like shit guess i got to wait longer, I agree though the guy was being to arrogant for me to want to be his buddy at all.

Brendan P

to this day he denies it.....

Laurin Carter

The thing that gets me is that he was there 3 hrs before he even asked why he was brought in.

does anyone know if he ever actually said ok yeah i did it?

this guy is a complete idiot. I have NEVER EVER EVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS! he didnt even TRY AND ACT like he cared his whole family was DEAD!! THE. WORST. LIAR. I. HAVE. EVER. SEEN. hes also extremely CREEEEEPY. I cant stand this guy i have such strong feeling after watching this lmao

Can't the officer, at the very least, mute his phone ffs?! what a boomer

Dude straight up looks like squidwerd

Jazminne Haywood

I was thinking the same thing! Way to make murdering your entire family after blowing 200K on a cam model seem "naughty", akin to eating sugary treats when you shouldn't.

Nice to see the true crime loser. I found him through you guys, and now count 2 of my favorite yt channel s. Male det wasn't terrible... just the lady was a little better. And what was his deal with that phone?

I feel like Sylvia should have cut him off, or given him a discount at the least. She had to have known how desperate this guy was and how easy it was for him to burn through money. She claimed it was okay because he told her he was a millionaire. Even if that were the case... $2,592 a night would cost $946,080 a year. If he really was a millionaire, he would have gone bankrupt in a few years, and she wouldn't even care.

Especially when he couldn’t even get an honest response out of him. Grant had to have known it was over for him at that point, yet couldn’t find it in him to come clean to his brother who was practically begging for his honesty.

They were saying the names of his family members that he killed. Margaret is his mom.

The male cop was messaging the bulgarian cam girl, he is one of her marks too.

Yo, what was that male detective DOING? Checking Instgram on his phone? At one point he's standing up, talking about how he's about to walk out of the room and how it's Amato's last chance, all dramatic like. Then he gets a txt mid-sentence and sits DOWN! Unreal. Like dude, focus.

So, his parents named him Margaret? I’m not saying they deserved it but I guarantee your son will resent you if you name him Margaret. Johnny Cash wrote a fucking song about it.

this dude is a beast. 6 fucking hours without so much as a tear or a frown.

I find it funny the way interrogators say that they will help them if they confess, but with mandatory minimums for most crimes there is literally not a single thing anyone could do to help these people unless its offered by the prosecution in the form of a deal

I agree. I know this is always a WILDLY unpopular opinion, but I feel sorry for him, based on how quickly he started talking. you can tell how lonely he is.

CANCEL HIM!!

Yeah and fun fact that grand Theft charge he got? Is was pallet of lube so he could keeP his numbers up

Unbelievable the Guy talks to cop for 2hr doesn’t ask why he was there and when the subject Does come up the detective ad to

You can spot a compulsive masturbator by the voice cracks.

"I like Anime" case closed.

Der Coomer

WOW! 2 HOURS!!!!!! in a room talking to police without asking why you are there.... insane

I love the vids and just became a patreon, this is the first video im watching. However at 3:00 mins you say ''relations with members of the opposite sex'', just wanted to point out that maybe in future videos you should word it as romantic/sexual relations with other people, since a lot of people are either bisexual/gay/pansexual etc. Just a tip to make the videos a little more inclusive! Thanks for all the content, can't wait to dive into all these hours of videos.

He is obviously a psychopath. The fact that he could obliterate his father's entire life savings over something so pathetic as camgirling and not even feel bad about it? I could never forgive myself if I did something like that. The narcissist just decided they had to pay and he couldnt even act as if he felt bad for massacring his own family.

ok

Wow the guy detective is so annoying with his ringer turned on. Like holy shit the other detective will be about to get him to admit to murder and he will get like 8 texts in a row.

ok

He looks like squidwerd

Jazminne Haywood

Imagine appealing to the 'honesty' of a guy who has so little integrity he stole 200 grand from his father for cam girls

Emily Chirnside

i love how the detectives are always "soooo honest" but wont divulge the evidence they have. i totally get why but its contradictory.

"I do love you bro, just remember that" said by the brother who is 99.99% sure he killed their family. What a fucking scumbag Grant Amato is

$200k on a camwhore, and he stole it all from his family. She was charging him ~$500 an hour to talk and he would talk to her for 4 hours a night. This might make camming look attractive, but over 99% of camwhores barely make anything, and they have to perform degrading sex acts and deal with weirdos all day. The ones that seem to make the most money are the ones who can convincingly give their viewers "the girlfriend experience", which many people who go on these sites can't get anywhere else. It's a sad state of affairs all around.

I love the down-playing technique lol, being interrogated for slaughtering your entire family=getting caught sticking your hand in the cookie jar

This is so sad. This guy seems almost grateful to be interrogated in the beginning. He's acting like he's talking to a therapist.

This is easily one of the most depressing crimes that I’ve ever known of.

My favorite part is when the female interviewer takes out the pictures and makes him cry after he's sitting there STILL triyng to lie. (1:12:29).

Hey JCS! I'd love to see a bit more analysis on the way the male detective handled this. He clearly hit a wall and got frustrated. I'd like to see what a more veteran detective would have done in this situation.

whaaat? why no death sentence??? unbelievable

i was thinking the same thing his bro was so chill

I agree, & it’s annoying how he keeps interjecting when he should shut up & let the situation breathe, allow the subject to KEEP TALKING

Susannah Friemel

Ugh that male detective was arrogant and frustrating. He was so close to a breakthrough many times but couldn't help cutting off the suspect to keep doing his stupid honesty monologue

The male cop reminds me of Hank Schrader from breaking bad. And the suspect has a resemblance to the streamer AsmonGold; in both voice and appearance.

If a friend

That cracked me up too, but it was actually 'true crime loser', at the end.

Exactly!!! Those incoming texts had nothing to do with the case bc the officers would've already had what they wanted before the interview. That sh-t irked me so bad. If I was his superior, he would have been chastised. Even if it was important personal or other info he absolutely needed to receive, it shouldve been on silent and in his lap or displayed in a way where he wouldn't have to keep picking it up. It completely kills whatever rapport they tried to establish. I guarantee it was his fantasy football updates. 😂

could be more info, like evidence n stuff. or fb idk

I am genuinely curious, was the male detective using the phone for something involved towards the investigation? I can’t find one good reason for him to be checking it every 10 seconds. At first I thought maybe he is speaking to someone who is watching the interrogation but there’s just no way they would send that many messages. Seems very unprofessional and especially distracting towards the suspect. Like come on! Your trying to get a confession for triple homicide, PUT THE CELL PHONE AWAY!

I love criminal minds but sometimes I wish they did more in terms of exploring interview techniques like the comparison you made of him being defensive in the beginning and during the confrontational stage instead of some of the theatrical drama especially in later seasons

is he slow

if anyone ever tried to hurt my parents even my own family member I think i would become an animal or something. the idea enrages me.

this guy is like if r9k was a person

His brother. Ugh, so heartbreaking

That was really interesting, thanks for sharing!

how weird to go into a police interrogation room and just blurt out everything you should have gone to therapy for with zero questions about why you're there or what the point is?

That brother seems so genuine... I don’t know how he held it together with such a traumatic crime... He must be numb

I get very frustrated when he keeps saying towards the end “I get blamed for everything else” Yeah but you know you done this and the only time in my opinion he seemed to want to get emotional was when it was about him being blamed for everything. I couldn’t do that detectives job because if I knew that he had done it by cameras and his behaviour I would get very impatient and blow the case by saying things in emotion.

That cops phone not being on silent.... 🙄

Yeah, you get taken to an interrogation room and sit down. What is the very first question? Why the F am I here, what happened? The silence is sooo telling.

I'd like to point out that there are several studies showing men are bad at specific details like what clothes they are wearing etc. Because we tend to "box" memories together rather than web them all into an inner relation. For a women clothes they wore could tie into what someone said into what their mood is into what happened that day. Whereas physically in men's brains they will more likely seperate these into different categories. That could be an explanation for the him not remember the clothes thing, he had two memories. Or it could just be dude doesn't give a fuck what he's wearing. I don't even remember what I wore yesterday lop

His brother showed more restraint there than i would have.

Oh WOW, that gave me chills. I can totally see that. Now that you mention The Stand, he also honestly reminds me a bit of Harold. Do you agree?

This person is the physical and mental embodiment of who I always thought The Trashcan Man would be.

Ya there is a lot of flub ups on the part of this male officer 👮 . Had a little laugh when you said (imitates the cop) "I;ve had an honest career and I'm a honest man...She'll Tell Ya.... I'll be honest with u from the day we meet til the date we... don't...meet" HA! WHAT A DOOF... they should have let the women officer do ALL the talking, then they just may HAVE got somewhere or something more out of this LOOSER then "Derr I did dent dew dis"! Uggh, Soo frustrating. This was probably one of the most drawn-out interrogations I have watched, almost to the point of feeling like fingernails on a chalkboard sound. Anyhoo THANKS FOR SHARING! I LOVE 💝your channel and have to say that it's been enjoyable to have your videos to watch for this COVID-19 quarantine. 😷 BLESSINGS n SAFETY 🙏🏼👍🏼 from Cheri in SLC, Utah⛷⛷⛰🏔🌄🌋🏂🏼🏔

Male Detective wasn't that bad. He got pissed off at the end, understandably when they had to let him go.

This is fucking hilarious in the darkest kind of way

Poor Jason; he's beyond torn apart and that's understandable. Loves and hates his brother; that's tough.

Every time I do the math on those tokens (approx. $2,592 per night by his numbers), it blows my mind.

I wish Grant would have to be forced to watch this interrogation until he rots in prison

01:00:22 : They should have played this out much more. Even if his respons makes some sense (referring to a prior experience with law enforcement and stating that he is scared to hear what's going on). Focusing on his atypical behavior (in the context of being innocent and oblivious to the event) would have left him little room to come up with alternative explanations.

1. Male cop trying to get him to confess: 'If I say the words 'honesty' and 'honest' enough I'll hypnotize him into a confession'. The suspect was often more coherent them this cop. 2. Is there a DSM classification applicable to this criminal?

My god. I wish that male cop would just be quiet for a minute! Talk about walking all over his more experienced, better detective partner in this interview. Good lord.

His family who did nothing but support him ended up with a terrifying end. I feel anger whenever I think about this prisoner.

USAgent

A more seasoned detective could have probably got a confession. I got second hand embarrassment listening to the male detective. I enjoyed True Crime Loser's commentary at the end, he hit the nail on the head.

He sounds like a petulant, spoilt teenager, and his family enabled him with tragic results. Terrible.

Lol "I have absolutely no ability to...............................care..........................I mean give a shit...I mean words to comprehend". Seriously this guy did not care at all that his entire family is dead.

Wojciech Tolsdorf

I honestly think the ENTIRE conversation was just to get him to say “WTF am I doing here?!”

"What do I like to do? I like to watch anime." Aaaaaaand I'm not surprised now.

there are some detectives who clearly do up the part for the tapes, its kinda embarrassing especially when they're nearly fumbling the case

Anime was a mistake.

The dark reality of a Coomer

Premeditation can happen in seconds. If a person is motivated by ANY reason whatsoever to kill someone else, it is considered premeditation. To have charges dropped or made more lenient due to insanity, the defense must not have had any proven reason or motivation for the defense to have done his crime. Grant Amato had revealed multiple possible reasons in his interrogation that could be used by the prosecution to deny claims of insanity - he had fully admitted to having troubles with his family in the past. This could be considered by the prosecution to be premeditation.

Imagine trying to explain what Anime is to two police detectives after killing your family

I'm curious on why he was charged as guilty premeditated murder? Seems as though it was more of an in the moment rage. Not something he planned. Of course, I could have totally missed that explanation.

This is a very rare occasion, though. Most people do not murder anyone over cam models, let alone porn. I think it is better to have very specific porn exist, than have people doing nasty things to eachother in their sexual deprivation.

skye

I'm gonna comment on the male detective like everyone else has. OH MY GOD!!! I couldn't watch this video in one sitting. I was getting mental fatigue listening to this detective talk in circles, get rid of him! He was so, so bad. And the gd phone, are you kidding?? I started to think it was part of a strategy or something because he was checking it so much, he couldn't even bother to put it on silent, arrghh!!! You're seriously checking your text messages while trying to get a confession for a triple homicide?!?!?! I feel bad for Jason. I really, really hope that he cut off all contact with Grant. Not to mention the first thing he said about Jason was that he was adopted!!! But he was still your half brother you fucking twat

Even at the very end, his (remaining) family was there for him. Wow. Grant was self-centered and a brat. You might be able to make the case that he was enabled a little but many of of us grew up in homes with one overbearing parent and one super supportive or passive. And most of us turned out fine. To be honest, if my life savings were depleted because of a kids obession with an online love affair, I'd be pissed, too. Grant Amato had everything going for him and then turned to murder when he had to follow the rules. He deserves his full punishment.

I dont feel bad for him. He's a murderer, thief from his own family, and a liar.

poor brother... no more family... how horrid. can not stand these types of humans.

Set the crime aside. Just imagine craving human attention so much to let things like this happened. I'm divided on how I feel about this crime. Grant were definitely having emotional issues and must have been – or felt – akward around women. His purpose of connecting with Sylvia wasn't about sex, but emotions. Such a sad case that could have been prevented.

kiu (aka kirstine)

My favorite part is when he says "A wise man once told me...once a bomb goes off, there's nothing you can do anymore".

the detectives are probably communicating with each other via text, that way they can keep their thoughts together and work out questions as they go. it probably also annoys the suspect as well, or at the very least makes them think that the detectives are not particularly concerned about the situation

The male Detective drives me nuts. Why would you have your phone out during the Interview, plus not have it on Silent? To me that tells the subject that you aren't that invested in him or what he has to say. It even goes off a few times while the subject is talking and he just looks at his phone.

Porn has degraded western culture, but it’s the repressive religious countries that have higher sexual violence. Funny, huh?

Caleb Coleman

I'd say its just because those are popular things (especially video games and porn) which nearly everyone consumes!

why is it always video games, porn, anime and guns?

the male investigator was a major hindrance to the interview overall. perhaps the female should have been left to it on her own.

Who is this true crime loser guy and how much is he paying jim for these plugs? Jim, get this crap outta here. I enjoy your professionalism but to bookend it with this guy leaves a sour, cheap wine taste. Seriously, it's bad. Edit: Apparently people can reply to me, but I can't reply to them. Claire, I did watch the dumb video. I guess your sense of humor is that of a basic bitch. Good one John! Sounds like virgin! Incel tears mmm mmmm!

"come to Jesus and tell the truth" this detective is a moron.

If the interrogation sounds like a job interview before they've even said why you're there, you're guilty.

King of the Simps XD XD XD XD

King of the Simps

i doubt it as most of us probably wouldnt be able to look him in the eye without breaking his neck

you know porn is going too far when anal prolapse porn is a thing

"A wise man once told me, once a bomb goes off, you can't defuse it. It's already out there." lol good one

This guy is a supreme simp

I really dislike this guy.

Dang that hair line on Grant is the real tragedy

The one who won in this situation is a cam whore

Geez, he's a typical weeb

I think each of us- interrogation nerds would do better job on interviewing this piece of garbage

He wasn't being detained or placed under arrest at that point. I'm not familiar enough with the law to know if that even matters but it's all I can think of right now.

MattyP

I think the women was good. the man seemed like he kept the interrogation going longer than needed.

From start he only talks about his family in past tense.. pretty revealing

These interrogators are weak

Lol if I didn't know better, I might think he has Syphilis. Though that's pretty much impossible.

At 1:00pm, it was an interesting point, he was not being detained, if so, then they couldn't have any of the proof they proclaim they do, or he'd have already been under arrest.

This guy's sanity left with his hair.

She must be a good talker

Watching that chump detective check his damn phone every 2 minutes is infuriating

Pretty sure the female detective would have broke him by hour 3 if 'Mr. Honesty' wasn't there to run his mouth and check his phone =/

The female detective trying to shut her colleague's buffoonery up was pretty entertaining. That guy either needs additional training or a sedative... STOP FIDGETING LIKE A CHILD. TURN YOUR PHONE OFF. STOP REPEATING YOURSELF WITH NO END GOAL. STOP CUTTING THE SUSPECT OFF. STOP BEGINNING A SENTENCE WITH NO IDEA HOW YOU'RE GOING TO END IT. Dude came off as incompetent - it's no wonder this pos thought he could get away with it.

WHAT did he say she cost to talk to? 90 tokens a minute, with 5,000 tokens costing $600, that's $10.80 a minute, and for FOUR HOURS A NIGHT?!! This guy spent $2592 *a night* talking to this girl. I'm sorry, WHAT?!!

That Chapter covered it. are you subbed to him?

Foremost, the male detective had poor impluse control with his phone. It would make notification sounds at the most inopportune times. Secondly, am I mistaken or was he not read his Miranda rights? It was comical that he agreed to be taken from his hotel and then be subjected to hours of questioning while not even inquiring or knowing why.

Wow that guy detective almost screwed things up, we'll he was done for but the detective was a bit annoying. I enjoyed this one though and I'm picky so thanks.

Ally Jade

Is that a strategy from the detective to constantly check on his phone and leaving the sound on? because it's really irritating.

He really does lmfao. He's gotta big ass nose

He actually looks like a vulture in that thumbnail lol

Uhhhh it was ectoplasm!!!!

Did anyone ever watch the comedy, Workaholics? The show is less about work, and more about alcoholism and other addictions. There is an episode where they spend all their money on cam models. all three roommates fall in love with the cam model. They also try to "save" the model.

The male detective is sabatoging everything. What a fucking idiot.

What a creepy little weasel.

Can't believe this guy maintained that BS confidence for nearly 6 hours of interview. I felt so many times he was close to a breakthrough.

Cody Johnson

His voice sounds like that one kid's who got caught watching porn and was trying to explain his way out of having his pants down and whilst trying to get rid of the "virus" that caused the site to pop up

"this is your last chance to send yourself away forever. Just get it off your chest lol love the cops tactics

Robert Mcgrath

It's nearly as fascinating to watch the male detective's ego or anxiety devolve into a series of frustrated movements and audible sighs as it it to watch this murderer deny any involvement in the brutal killing of his family. Maybe that could be a strategy as well? I know it made me super nervous and I just wanted him to stop being so shifty.

I get the feeling the male detective gave away the fact that they knew there was no gun shot residue on the family too early. Think the female wanted to lock him into an alibi wherein he defended himself from dad

this male detective is amateur af

YourBabysFather

3 hours into the interview cop: oh btw ur family were all murdered grant: ok cool. any more questions?

Ryan Seitz

Imagine losing that support immediately tho and your father telling you to never come back...thatd be so heartbreaking...enough to make anyone crazy... I mean if Grant hadnt been arrested how would he live? He had like no money and was staying in a hotel...

Ryan Seitz

Two and a half hours of police asking you questions about your life with them hinting all around that theres been an innocent to your home that police responded to, and you still dont ask whats up? what happened? This is one of those interrogations where the jury can tell from the interrogation alone that hes guilty, lol...

Ryan Seitz

the male police officer is not good at interrogation at all, he can see tactics that are not working but keeps pushing with no cooperation from the suspect, for all his talk about seeing something in his eyes he is clueless and that phone of his is infuriating

yeah it was, i think he moved alot of content here because of youtube changes

was this on youtube at some point? i seem to remember it

This is so incredibly sad. What kind of a fate is that for a loving family!! I barely couldn't watch the video... just felt nauseous to the bone.

He talks so nonchalant as if hes having a Starbucks during a job interview.

It's almost funny how pathetic this guy is. Killing your own family to hear her fart through a walkie talkie

4 hours in, "You're free to live your life". 2 hours later, still sitting in that chair.

The male detective needs more training...now!

Doing it right now, my dude!

Massively in love with a woman, but not in love enough to even bother googling the country she's from

I don’t know if I have ever seen anyone more deserving of a punch in the throat

Anyone else keeps coming back to this particular video just to play int he backgrounds while you do other things lol or is it just me

Agreed

ben mikesell

Damn... so hooked man dude I wont lie I have talked to a couple cam girls before. It's like stripers (which I've never been to a actually club) they pretend to like you. Jesus killing your own mother and family.. good upload as always jim (crew) lol. Worth more than my buck

ben mikesell

Not sure about that, but given how often he looks at his phone I reckon he's pretty good at Candy Crush.

The male detective is making me cringe with the analogies he's trying to get a confession with. What a cornball.

Shane

The end is what gets me .. I feel for the oldest brother , kind of a bizarre thing when he stated he could take his brother physically but if he had a knife he’d be fucked ... sad when you see your family member as a potential predator instead of your brother.. rot in hell grant

Out of all the jim can’t swim vids, I have to say, this guy is easily the biggest piece of shit I’ve seen interrogated.

Grant can't swim in this episode.

Has the male detective ever gotten a confession out of anyone ever?

Yep, looks right to me. 600/5000x90x4x60=2592 Considering he'd known her for half a year, he'd easily get to 200k.

Was a loner, starved for affection, spent hundreds on just being able to talk to a pretty girl, selfish... he's like a diet incel.

I'm bad at math or this guy was spending 2600/per night on his catfish...

lmao that bit about the honesty loop was so spot on. But seriously that male detective was so transparently desperate for a confession it completely undermined his whole 'we know everything, we already got everything' front

- I watch anime - Guilty

Alexander

God damn, maby you can't swim.. But you sure as hell can make these videos!

I am still bevilded to how he just went with police without even asking why and just sitting there on interrogation without asking why they doing that... Obviously he knew they will come for him but anyone who would want to avoid accusation would try to look at least surprised why the police came...

fr that blows me away

I really don't understand how he sat there for over 2hrs and didn't ask once why he was there

Incredibly selfish, complete disregard for others efforts to help him, lazy, good for nothing whatsoever, loser. He doesn’t even deserve to be fed. Sorry if that is harsh but it is just unbelievable what advantages he had and took yet offered nothing in return so why should he be offered anything again.

summary, the male interrogator is a moron.

" bulgaria, outside of germany " hah

If you just listen to the suspect's voice, it's clearly Tony Hinchcliffe.

This video is private, I can't see it

marked as private

InvestorPadawan

i think the female detective was supposed to remind silvia

he killed his family for money so he can jurk off......WOW

He also rarely says "we". It's like he's doing the interogation by himself. It seems like a united front would be the way to go--"WE aren't going to give you an other chance after this...We don't believe you're telling us the truth." The only thing I can think of that would explain his behavior is that the two detectives agreed in advance to mirror the likely behavior of Grant's parents, the father being the egotistical sovereign who only acknowledges the mother when he's repremanding her for being so indulgent to the two siblings who should be embarrassed to still be living at home.

Notice how he refers to the female detective as she, not by her name as she does with him.

The male detective needs to go back to interrogation school

XD

xenomorph lookin head ass motherfucker

Does anybody notice how Grant refers to his brother and father in the past tense?

Well put...

A cam girl is most definitely not a virtual girlfriend. They're strippers, but worse.

Jack Hazardous

that annoyed the hell out of me. At first when they were gaining his trust/acting like his friend I thought it was part of the plan. But when it got to the crunch part of it they were still doing it. Really pissed me off

Is it just me or isnt it incredibly unprofessional the fact the detective keeps receiving texts on his phone without putting it on silence ? Could it be intentional behaviour ?

Please make a part two!!!

that girl in the end was creepy af

Fascinating insight into Beth Thomas ‘child of rage’ how she was sexually abused and survived through dissociative identity. The child was crying out for help. The whole original interview gives so much for context. It’s very sad. So pleased she has healed and is thriving. Thanks for vid! 😊

Ultimately the mothers.... christian is one evil bastard tho... but it's not his fault being raised by a TPOS mother and no father.

Just FYI- as someone local to Worcester, MA, the correct pronunciation (and the one I am familiar with) of Worcester is WIH-STR YouTube video link of pronunciation: https://youtu.be/czw5sP2E7s8

Not the kids fault?? Wow

He was a child. An abused child who had issues and was ignored and failed multiple times by his mom and step dad.

This is not the kids fault. His mom failed to protect all of her kids from abuse, if she would have been honest about the leg injury then both kids could have gotten help and been saved.

Insanity defence rarely succeeds. It comes down to whether or not the person was aware that what they did was wrong. To cause harm to yourself and/or others can be a sign of mental illness. Having a mental illness rarely effects a person's ability to understand right from wrong. If a child doesn't learn pre-school what is right and wrong due to a maladaptive home life, school life will make it clear violence is not okay. Human beings regardless of age do not like to see physical voilence. But if a child stabbed me with a knife without any history of abuse or voilence in their neighborhood I would want them put away forever.

Brandie Pauley

Not to mention, the reason I posted that comment was due to the fact children are so impressionable, for the most part,, regardless of age and I feel they're entirely entitled to the exact same legal responsibility and duties we are as adults. (now I'm watching the last).

I didn't see the last one, however, I'll review it and give you my honest opinion. That being said, I'm a mother of 7 children, 3 step and 4 bio, and accused or not, I would prefer they have a lawyer present OR a parent. I know we've come to a culture where insanity, and such defenses are extremes, yet used so loosely, but, IMO no one would ever harm another human being or animal, etc, if they were in their "right mind". People don't just wake up and say, or think, I want to harm someone.... Unless, they're sick in their brain, and something is very wrong with them, or GENUINELY it is self defense. Again, that's my take on it. I'll watch the last one now and get back with you on this.

Not even that last one? that shit was downright terrifying i doubt her parents even wanted to be in the room with her at that point.

Beth was a broken child who had been raped from the day she was born. There is a documentary on her. ‘Child of rage’ go watch it, it’s really really interesting!

There is no way a kid should be (no matter WHAT the reason) questioned without a parent or lawyer. Period. It's not even allowed in the EU or UK

*pins

Well, they seem to catch all the flies

The first case reminded me of one of the kids in the HBO documentary A Dangerous Son, at first I was so angry at how he treated his sister and mom but ended up feeling a lot of empathy with the kid, he knew he had problems and seemed to really not understand why it happened and or why he couldn't control it. Luckily in that case his mother found psychiatric help. I'm curious as to how they are doing now.

“Gods blessing” I love how these good for nothing people pray to God. He sure wasn’t blessing you when your son murdered his brother and you did nothing to help. Yet goes out of his way to be sure you don’t go to prison and never see your children again. Guess she is happy she doesn’t have to be responsible for them anymore. Ugh. So irritating

Miggi

That first bastard should have been drowned at birth. Psycho

There is a whole movie about Beth. It’s called child of rage. She went through hell too.

SCP 5927 Object class :: Euclid SCP 5927 is a six year old girl named [ redacted  ] Who's body is said to house the reincarnated soul of Lucifer....

that kid is manipulative. Blaming his dad. BETH is a monster.

Oslo Zeimantz

Surprised Beth's past, before adoption, wasn't mentioned here.

Kristah

It bugs me, and Im a chick. Women, although they generally dont go out raping and murdering are just as capable of sick acts as men. At the same time, youngwhite woman goes missing and theres a massive manhunt, young black woman goes missing - oh she was prolly a ho and deserved it. Women are treated like innocent and pure, well as long as youre a middle class young white woman anyway

child of cascadia

It's kind of sick the sentencing discrepancies between women and men, and even sicker between non white women vs. White women and or all men. The stats are staggering. They really are. It's unreal what we allow women to get away with, that would send men to prison FOR LIFE. Women are just as capable, culpable, and evil as men. It should bother ALL women how child like women are treated.

Chasity Walraven

Just my humble opinion but I believe evil is created, its mostly done so through the culture your brought up in. I.e. In the Islamic world it's normal to cut off the clitoris of your infant daughter and women are forced to wear hijabs/burkas.

lol that girl...I stick them with pens....creepy =)

Is evil made? Or born.....and if so....if it’s born should we destroy it to save Society?

LeonKilroy

I've seen Beth's case before and it makes me so sad. I've also been sexually abused at an extremely young age (her birth father raped her when she wasn't even 2 years old) , but I'm so grateful that my brain hasn't gone to the intense defense mechanisms like she did. I can see why she acted out, and I'm incredibly grateful she found treatment that helped her understand what "love" is.

omg the mother didn't serve a day in prison for letting her child suffer and die? what. the. fuck.

i can't imagine the turmoil in your head when trying to dictate what age is appropriate to trial a kid as an adult... so sad in all respects but likely the wisest decision to keep them out of society

Yeah, that’s the bad part of her personality...

Personally I approve with how it was handled considering shes rehabilitated now with a new identity.

Beth disgusts me, anyone that enjoys hurting helpless animals..

Imo the man, in last scene, interviewing Beth Thomas is doing a horrible job...with the leading questions and already seeming to have come to conclusions before assessment.

unfortunately these kinds of behaviors correlate most usually in homes of abuse of children. there are so many theories as to why they do it (feeling of control, ability to do what has been done to them to others, etc). Reading up on it is a rabbit hole you can travel down for more than a few days and never really get the answers you want

Aneska = Beth v2.0

‘Use your words, Beth’

I couldn’t watch this. Why anyone would hurt a child or even an animal makes no sense to me.

Beth was the easiest interrogation ever. Complete and total honesty.

She was also a vitcim of sexual child abuse until she was 19 months old...a very shocking story is the one of the therapist who worked with her when she was little. Its easy to find online

i'd be interested more about Beth. Another video said she was not only doing fine but an advocate for some positive organization or another.

Sunshine Sherpa

Thank you for reminding me! My heart was breaking knowing the extreme torture she underwent at her bio father's hands. I'm glad that she ended up with a happy life.

Damn. A young teenage girl just got her freedom after three years of hell, was finally validated as telling the truth, and was finally able to visit her dead son's grave. You call her face of joy and finally being able to hold her head up high as "smug"...You clearly have zero idea of psychology or body language...You might want to rewatch Jim's videos, except actually pay attention this time, though I kinda want to throw you in jail for three years for no reason, like the girl was, and enjoy your smug face then, lol. Would be a great video for Jim to analyze. You do realize that the proof absolves her, or did you just not pay attention to half the freakin video? and you, armchair detective, think that you can gather guilt from one photo, just like those inept police did and got reprimanded? Again, rewatch Jim's videos, cuz you have learned zero. I would assume you have Aspergers, but that would be a huge insult to an extremely intelligent and kind group of people.

Beth is a well known child psychiatrist now and specializes in children with severe mental disorders

Shack

31:32 idk, she looks way too smug. I think someone took pity in her and let her go. That look is the dealbreaker

If they're "developed" enough to commit an act with serious consequences borne by others (ie, "adult" acts), they're "developed" enough to be questioned like, and held responsible as, adults. The voting and drinking ages set by law have nothing to do with development, and have no bearing on a person's ability to commit crime.

19:34 - It’s pronounced Wustah not Wooster lol. At least that’s how locals pronounce it.

theres nothing there

If a kid isn't deemed developed enough to vote or drink then they shouldn't be deemed old enough to be questioned like an adult or punished like one...it's bloody disgusting tbqh. The fact that 14 year old kids are getting life sentences blows my mind :(

Ok this is messed up. I can't watch this.

Fuck the police. You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar

This vid isn’t working for me?

Carl just in the interrogation room crying for himself, disgusting.

lmfao that lil girl bad asl

NPR covered the story after she was exonerated: https://www.npr.org/2012/01/02/144489360/how-a-teens-coerced-confession-set-her-free

Amber White

i can't find anything on na truong via googling - anyone have any articles on the case or anything?

rosepalms

I think you might not have been paying attention.

That asian girl killed 2 babies and got millions.....😰

Worth noting Beth had been victim of extreme abuse, and adopted the behaviour herself as a survival strategy, subconsciously of course. There are very moving videos of her therapy breaking through those defenses, where she cries and is full of remorse. She is now a loving kind person apparently. Demonstrates how severely the very young can be destroyed by abuse, and why it should be punished most severely.

can't wait for pt. 2 mucho gracias

I knew something wasn't right with the middle one

Hey Jim team. Surprised you guys missed this. Google Beth. She is nurse, therapist and is doing fine.

advancedpillow

Jim this might be my fav yet. Are there others of these? Also, for anyone interested in hearing a decent interview with Beth (the last girl in video), there is a radio interview she did at 32yrs old on youtube (audio only, but good quality). Sounds pretty adjusted, but oddly skirts the topic of how she deals with violent thoughts now. Maybe its something you never cure... only learn to cope with... fascinating. Great content as always JCS!<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkQaVI_CSVk" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkQaVI_CSVk</a>

I’m 3:20 in and wtf man

10 years probation for the mother of the toddler! Incredibly lenient.

now THAT is what is important

All things aside She's got gorgeous eyes for a darker skinned woman. Always very attractive.

Christopher Cox

Agreed. It pissed me off when the interrogator dismissed SIDS as nonsense, as if it's not the THIRD leading cause of infant mortality.

That lady in the fernandes photo on the left, was a massive jumpscare for me lmao. Holy cow that picture made her look scary.

Did anyone ask the question why the 16-year old had a son, and then wonder how the answer to that question may have influenced her to kill him (if she had, though it was forensically determined she did not)?

If slapping your child across the head isn't child abuse... no wonder America has such a high prison population.

Not My Real Name

Yeah, that's all true. She's completely fine.

GothRoyalty

I could tell she was innocent!

Great video, but I believe you made a mistake regarding Beth’s current situation, unless this website is a fabrication of sorts: <a href="https://www.attachment.org/seminars/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.attachment.org/seminars/</a>#speakers

A nurse!?!? I do not believe it.

As I was watching I just kept thinking thinkingthat I hate this stupid kid. 12 is old enough to know

It's odd. I thought the Asian woman was innocent during the entire interrogation.

Jordan Maze

So much for sleeping

That first video jeez what type of mom would see her toddler unconscious and bleeding and just changes a diaper and hope for the rest. ? Is she mentally challenged? ( not trying to being mean) But seriously like this “mom” as no fucking business having a kid.

Jim we’re not worthy!!!

That little girl was so scary.

thanks Jim soooo goood

I'd already watched the 'Child of Rage' documentary HBO did on Beth back in the early 90s, so that case wasn't new to me but I thoroughly enjoyed the interrogations of the other children in this video. It's a shame that a long-term study hasn't been conducted on the efficacy of juvenile interrogations and that the release of said interrogations is left up to the will of the D.A. in many jurisdictions. The one clear take away from this video and other juvenile interrogations I've watched video or read transcripts of is that there desperately needs to be a separate system in place for juvenile offenders as they're often woefully ignorant of the legal system and their civil rights. Honestly, that's probably the main take away from all of Jim's videos for me : That if I'm ever questioned by police in regards to ANY crime, no matter how trivial, that I sit down, shut up, and ask for a lawyer until I either get one or I'm blue in the face. Police stop looking to protect you the moment you set foot in an interrogation room. At that point you're just another case keeping them from going home to their family. They're overworked and jaded by the process enough that they're not above overlooking exculpatory evidence just to clear a case.

She claims to be fully recovered now, got her degree and works as a nurse

I couldn’t take it, so I spent a dollar...

Jim, add some 2 and 3 dollar tiers

best 1 dollar ever spent

That little girl Beth is seriously disturbed!! Psycho? No empathy at all so detached, very scary.

just joined the patreon team! thank you for this highly entertaining content. :)

It's always appreciated when someone donates what they can. Sounds like you are in a tumultuous period.

I just subscribed. Its very hard at this point in my life to donate. Im in the middle of divorcing my wife who has completely ruined my finances for years. Im the type of person who wont spend $1 more than he needs to until he pays his debts. This is completely out of character for me. I am sorry I cant give more. I will when my life is back in my own hands.

She was sexually abused and severely neglected as a child. Apparently she is now a therapist. There's a documentary about her on YouTube <a href="https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/parenting/kids/stunning-transformation-of-beth-thomas-tvs-child-of-rage-psychopath/news-story/2e8658abcd295a768b4d9d8a73845537" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/parenting/kids/stunning-transformation-of-beth-thomas-tvs-child-of-rage-psychopath/news-story/2e8658abcd295a768b4d9d8a73845537</a>

Is there a specific condition associated with Beth? Or at least one that closely resembles that level of propensity for violence.

The last one I’ve seen a long time ago on YouTube but the others were new to me. Thanks Jim for reminding me to never have kids of my own.

"Do you know why? Think about it." Brilliant.

That little girl is HAUNTING. Thanks, Jim, for continuing to terrify me of my own species.

elli0tt

Christian Fernandez really makes me mad. He had a lot of anger in him and he took out his rage on his little brother-killing him!! The mother tried to cover it up! I know this kid is free now but FUCK HIM.

I’ve seen Beth’s video before and even watching it again gives me chill of how a child doesn’t only think about hurting others but murdering them too

I am so happy for Beth, she is using her terrible experiences as a child to help kids 🥰👌who is going through what she did. And, nothing can beat the fact that she can tell them that she KNOWS how it feels.

Beth's circumstances are not unknown....

She turned out great!

She grew up to be really normal!

The last child, Beth, her current circumstances are known I thought? She is a nurse at a hospital, and she works with her mother helping children with the same behavioural issues. She also has a book More Than a Thread of Hope.

I watched a documentary about Beth once, I don’t remember the exact details of her story, but dhe developed these traits because of abuse that happened to her, she got treated in a facility after that interview and made quite the transformation. It was on youtube a couple of years ago, worth a search

Hey Jim, here's a little feed back. Your best video by far was The Interrogation of Steven J. Williams. I watched this one twice. Super interesting watching how the cop slowly broke him down. and to think he'd have probably gotten off with two years if he only had a lawyer. I didn't really like the last part of the chris watts case, where the misstress was interviewed, or the code part one. Compelling Interigations part 7 was good. This one and the code part 2 were also really good, although harder to watch than most because of the confronting nature. I think a good JCS vid has the interrogation, with play by play analysis of the techniques police use as well as any applicable law or psychology. Then an overview of the case outcome and public perception if its a high profile case. A friend of mine was put off by the sound of the voice over, she reckons the it makes it sound like one of those stupid mega factory doco's where everything is measured in football fields. I kinda like the narrator, but I do agree that the narrator can seem to have a strange tone for the subject matter. Anyway thanks for the vids, keep them coming!

That was a hard watch. But very informative. Thank you, Jim♥️

I love you jim that's all I gotta say

I have seen the first interrogation of the boy who killed his little brother before. I was unable to sit thru it. I tried again but had to skip to the next one -there’s some stuff I just can’t .....when it is concerning torture and cruelty to children I’m unable to listen. Beth’s story was unsettling glad she turned out ok

It's not. She's thriving now, after some intense controversial attachment therapy she went through. She's now a nurse and a big child advocate for children who are abused. Not sure why Jim since her current location and situation is unknown. She's on the internet. <a href="https://bbsradio.com/highlight/featured-guest-beth-thomas-rn-april-28-2015" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://bbsradio.com/highlight/featured-guest-beth-thomas-rn-april-28-2015</a>

Yserieh

My only issue with Beth is she supports some pretty dangerous forms of attachment therapies, since one did work for her.

Yserieh

“Big sister syndrome”

Carl....Elizabeth w. Had her fist nursing job in 1995. Little Beth is too young to be that person.

@Maria M WAIT. Beth from 1989 is a nurse? How old is ElizaBETH Wettlaufer?!!!

There is a documentary on Beth called Child of Rage with the full interview. This is a girl that was very severely sexually abused as a toddler, so it makes sense that she felt it was okay to do to another child. Abusers often grow up to abuse others.

Beths story was horrible. She was raped as a baby by her bio dad. The therapy she went thru was intensive and a bit controversial. They would hold her down and try to make her remember the horrible things that had happened to her. Very sad. I am glad that it worked for her though.

Read my update on Beth! 🥰

I have an update on Beth. She weny through years of theraphy, and works as a registered nurse at a hospital. She specializes in abused children! And she is happily married with children. So, against all odds, she turned out well, a loving woman who is using her trahic upbringing to help others. Beth was severely abused, both sexually, psychologically and physically. I am so, so happy for her! 😊👌

Love u guys!! What an amazing analysis of these two horrific stories. I teared up looking at that poor innocent 2yro boy's face in the first story I hope that he finds peace wherever he is

This comment is interesting. Would you still love your child if they ended up becoming violent towards you or others through no fault of your own? I don't mean this in a hostile way, I just find this topic interesting.

That last child reminds me why I never want kids. All of them did but especially that last one.

Thanks Jim great video. That last interview with the 6 year old I had to watch multiple times she truly was headed down a dark path..

I love that kind of content

I already saw the last part with the young girl Beth, i'd love to know more but i guess it's hopeless.

Love these vids and the amount of effort Jim puts in to every single one of his pieces. The only qualm I have with this video is the segment on Beth - I think her history probably should've been covered (children don't develop in a vacuum, and Beth's difficulties in particular are a huge factor in her behaviours; the fact she was with a foster family at least should've been mentioned), and there is quite a bit of info out there regarding her as an adult, which I think could've been brought up even with a caveat that the sources were potentially unreliable (I don't have time to look it up now, but I do believe that others in these comments are correct when they say she is doing well these days, and I think there are actually reliable sources saying so). This is the first and only issue I've had with one of these videos though - so keep up the great work Jim! :D

Great job keep up the good work

That last kid ... nightmare. Seriously creepy

Best videos on the internet

You should do a breakdown of Jennifer pan's interrogation Mr Jim

That last kid truly disturbed me

The Central Park Five is another great example of forcing confessions from juveniles -- there should be a separate process for minors in my opinion

Really engrossing...thanks for this.

At the end of the interview with Beth Thomas it says her whereabouts and circumstances are unknown. An internet search reveals she is a registered nurse and co-author of a book about her experiences: "More Than a Thread of Hope."

Beth Thomas as an adult. <a href="https://youtu.be/hkQaVI_CSVk" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://youtu.be/hkQaVI_CSVk</a> and <a href="https://youtu.be/7wncaF5Rdvc" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://youtu.be/7wncaF5Rdvc</a>

If this article is to be believed, Beth has gotten her life together and is now a nurse and therapist. <a href="https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/parenting/kids/stunning-transformation-of-beth-thomas-tvs-child-of-rage-psychopath/news-story/2e8658abcd295a768b4d9d8a73845537" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/parenting/kids/stunning-transformation-of-beth-thomas-tvs-child-of-rage-psychopath/news-story/2e8658abcd295a768b4d9d8a73845537</a>
