Hi my name is BenValla. A Tanzanian that just moved to Ireland. I am rapper/producer and I am currently trying to learn to play the lead with the aim of helping my song writing skills. I really want the guitar to be the reason i retire early

Hi Everyone, my name is Oscar, I used to have guitar all my life, but never learn how to play it until the Pandemia. I start learning songs but I want more, I want to learn music theory. I was viewing some youtube videos and… honestly I believe I chose the better with Scott. Have a nice day

Hey everyone. I’m Ronny and I’ve played rhythm and bass for the past 18 years and I’ve always wanted to play lead cause I love the vibe but never brought myself to just set down and learn it. But! Here I am now, 18 years later. I want to go from being a basic guitarist/bassist to a thorough guitarist.

Hey all, My name is Mike I have been playing guitar for almost 4 years. I'm very interested in these lessons to help me in my songwriting. I write and record music and want to get better at arranging.

hi everyone! I've attempted to learn guitar since I was 14 on youscian but I didn't take it serious until 2020 when we were all quarantined and had all the time in the world. I'm 20 now and I've made some good progress by basically just watching YouTube videos which includes Scott (who has made the best guitar teaching videos ever in my opinion) but I feel as though I've hit a wall so I decided to join this Patreon! my goal is to play along to backing tracks and play what's in my head and kind of express myself on guitar. But, to do that I have to learn music theory so here I am and looking forward to having Scott as my virtual teacher :D

Hi Max! Welcome. I hope you find that theory is clicking for you as you move through these lessons.

Welcome, David! I hope you enjoy your time here

Hi all. I’ve been playing guitar for 26 years. Is started on electric then moved mainly to acoustic for about 20 years. During the lockdowns I ran out of excuses to not put in the time and effort to my playing. I’ve a very basic knowledge of music and was getting frustrated that time spent practicing was not translating into getting more skilled so here I am enjoying having a structured approach and getting to properly understand the basics.

I have also taken several classes with teachers which I didn’t really care for. There are several teachers on line that I believe are very good. Scott’s I think is one of the best in my opinion. I have gone through several of his free on line courses and find he is very knowledgeable and entertaining. Hope to keep getting more knowledgeable about music theory and how to be a better musician. One of these days I will come down from Everett and bye the professor a cup of coffee…

Hello everyone, joined a few days ago to increase my understanding about music theory, hopefully get a little more organized in my practice and what’s the next best thing to learn or work on. I learned a couple of chords in high school and drug a guitar around for 20 some years in the Navy promising to some day learn to actually play it. Well few years ago I retired from another career and during the shut down did an internet guitar challenge. Since then I have been watching a bunch of different internet teachers

Hi all. New here, just subscribed a few days ago. I picked up guitar when I was about 14. Learnt power chords and called it a day. Fast-forward 19 years and I decided to pick guitar up again during lockdown. I've been playing drums for about 18 years, so had a musical background, but guitar brings with it a lot of unique differences, namely the melodic challenges. Here to learn guitar properly! Any tips are very welcome.

James Crowson

What's up everyone, I'm Max. Been playing guitar for 15+ years, was really dedicated to learning as a teenager and took lessons, but my theory never really stuck. I want to get to a place where the theory finally clicks and becomes a songwriting tool for me, versus something that holds me back from really moving to a higher level.
