ENG – Weekly devlog 06/12/24

Hello dear Patreons! 🥳 We are back with full health! Full strength! Full motivation! Hehe. (Today being a national holiday might have to do with the extra motivation, but shhhh 🤫).

After taking some needed rest last weekend, we finally won the fight against the now named by us “Virus From Hell” (aka The Toilet Virus 😂). So we started working full speed again on the last chat from Day 5’s morning. We managed to finish writing the whole chat, and it ended up being quite long (as always 😆).

All that’s left now is to edit it and, probably, make some changes. It was written in a long span of days, and that always means we’ll find some inconsistencies between different parts of the chat. But that won’t take as much time as writing it! So next week we’ll probably start working on the “afternoon” chats 💃

Here’s the updated outline:

CHAPTER 2 – DAY 2 OUTLINE:

*Morning: 3 chats + 1 phonecall:

• Chat 1: PROGRESS: READY FOR PROGRAMMING.

• Chat 2: PROGRESS: READY FOR PROGRAMMING.

• Phonecall: PROGRESS: READY FOR PROGRAMMING.

• Chat 3: PROGRESS: EDITING PHASE.

*Afternoon: 2 chats + 1 phonecall. PROGRESS: NOT YET WRITTEN.

*Evening: 2 chats + 1 phonecall. PROGRESS: NOT YET WRITTEN.

*Night: 3 chats. PROGRESS: NOT YET WRITTEN.

We were also thinking of ways we could speed up our progress, so you don’t have to wait that much time between updates 🤔 Creating a whole game just the two of us leaves us reaaaally exhausted, but we can’t afford all the help we actually need 😔 So we’ve been analizing our work process to find out in which part of it we are in dire need of help, and we came to a conclusion: the English translation.

Depending on the length of every content update, Vera might take a month or two to translate all of it (and it always leaves her totally worn out) so it would speed the whole process up if someone could translate every chat or phonecall as soon as we finish writing/editing them. That would also mean that, as soon as we finish getting the content ready, the translation would also be ready, instead of having to wait for Vera to translate all the script by herself AFTER the creative part is over! 🥳

We already recieved some offers from people that are willing to help us translate the game for free, but we hate the idea of not giving proper retribution for such a big work load. But, on the other hand, we really don’t have the money to pay as much as a translator should gain. We’ve been saving every penny you all have given us as support here on Patreon (thank you, really 🥺), but even that is not enough to pay a full translator wage. We are still toying with this whole idea, so we will keep you updated on what we’ll eventually do about it 🤔
