ENG – Weekly devlog 15/11/24

We’re back, our dear Patreons! 😃

Time sure is flying by! Unfortunately, this past week we had another episode of heavy rain. But this time, the government took things seriously and alerted the population (as they should have done the last time 😡), and restricted the citizen’s movements. Some business even closed for two days so their workers could stay safe at home. So everything’s okay now! The sun is shining again, and we had a bit more of free time to work on TYL! 🥳

With things almost back to normal, we were able to give a big push to the script writing/editing. Which is a big relief for both of us, as we were feeling rather anxious by the fact we couldn’t progress as much a we wanted to these past weeks. This game is our little baby, a project we want to work on as hard as we can. And sometimes, even if we know we can’t control every set-back life thows our way, we get a bit stressed because of that sense of responsibility.

But there’s only one way to get rid of that stressing feeling: to keep working even when luck seems to be against us! 💪 And that’s what we did. It may not look like it on the outline we are about to show you, as it is a simplified summary of the real work that takes place behind the scenes, but we made big progress this week 😁 And that’s enough to keep our motivation high!

So, here’s the outline with the updated progress notes:

CHAPTER 2 – DAY 2 OUTLINE:

*Morning: 3 chats + 1 phonecall:

*Afternoon: 2 chats + 1 phonecall. PROGRESS: NOT YET WRITTEN.

*Evening: 2 chats + 1 phonecall. PROGRESS: NOT YET WRITTEN.

*Night: 3 chats. PROGRESS: NOT YET WRITTEN.

We had so much fun editing the first chat! 😂 We had the chance to edit a few parts of it together (we usually split the work, so working on something together is rare), and we were laughing like hyenas with some of the additions we made. So, if you find some choices that sound a bit… unhinged, now you know the reason 😅 Sorry, not sorry. Hehe.

We are also working on the next Patreon extra content right now. As we already announced last week, we will show you the last photo on every character’s phone gallery. We found the idea really fun at first, but we are having such a hard time choosing every picture! 😭 Haha. As we don’t show the characters appearance in the game (or, at least, just part of their body but not their face), we are trying to find/take/create pictures that give some information about their personalities or some insights on what’s important to them. We want every extra content we create to add to the game’s story!
