City Beautiful

It's Thanksgiving here in the United States and I wanted to thank everyone here for your generous support of the channel. When I started this Patreon in the spring I didn't know if anyone would *actually* support City Beautiful, so it always blows me away when I see that currently 87 people do! Here are a few quick channel updates for you:

1. I received a $1,200 Vlogbrothers grant to support the channel! That money, combined with your support, has allowed me to buy a new video editing computer. It arrives next week (I scored a good Black Friday deal). This expense was necessary because I no longer have hard drive space to update my Adobe Creative Suite apps nor my operating system. My current laptop is also incredibly slow when editing. This new laptop will let me produce videos faster. I hope that means more videos!

2. My next video will be titled: "Will AI plan our future cities?" and feature Minecraft! I'm excited for how it will turn out. I'll post the script when I have it finished.

3. I'm sure you noticed, but the channel has a new logo. The next video will also feature a new four-second intro. I'm excited to share it with you.

4. I *might* be in Washington, DC in January. If I am, I'm considering doing videos on Amazon's new HQ, the City Beautiful movement, and Edge Cities (like Tysons in VA). Any other DC-specific video ideas people have?

5. The channel turns two on December 31st. I'm planning a year-in-review post here and a livestream on YouTube. Stay tuned!
