Justice League and Coco
Added 2017-12-03 20:22:52 +0000 UTCNot so long ago I watched these two movies in the cinema. I saw a few more movies in the previous months, they was awesome too, though I don’t really know why, but I didn’t tell anything about them. Well, the reason I do it now is because I had an awesome experience with the latest Pixar/Disney film, Coco. And then I remembered I saw the Justice League too in the month. I guess I got really excited now, heh :D I guess have a little inspiration now to talk about movies.
In my view, Justice Leauge is kind of what people could expect. Tons of action, awesome effects, the world is in danger, Superman is overpowered. But beyond these basic settings, the plot was interesting and enjoyable enough for me. I didn’t feel there was any mayor plot hole, and the characters own personal difficulties could be felt. The story was pretty decent, and though I felt the whole thing couldn’t show anything new, it was okay and enjoyable. It felt like it’s just a part of a series. But I actually will looking forward to every continuation because I like many DC and Marvel characters. (And I’m especially happy that Black Panther will get his own movie. Sorry, I meant “Kitty Batman” :D ) I rather enjoy see a lot of action this kind of movies, somehow these are relaxing to me. Actually, I recommend it for some casual, relaxing time with your friends.
And the latest film I watched was Coco. At the first glance on the posters and the trailer (usually I never watch more than one trailer about a film, I want to see everything on the big screen, trailers sometimes can ruin plot twists), well, I didn’t expect much, only a cute, really family friendly story for younger ones. I judges by the really friendly faces of the character and the skeletons. Big, shining eyes, bright smiles, friendly “soft” style as we got used to from Disney and Pixar in many cases. From the pictures it looked like kind of general, but cute at the same time, but I wanted to see it anyway. I’m always curious about Disney/Pixar movies, I grew up on them.
(By the way, I just warn you guys. Before the movie starts, there’s a Frozen animated short you have to sit through. It was an absolute torment for me. This article roundly describe why, and what that meant.

I know everythings about money, but this was absolutely ridiculous…)
So, about Coco. Haha, oh my God. I absolutely loved it! I tried to hold back my tears near the end… but at the and I was like “For fucks sake boy, don’t do dis, I’m gonna do a waterfall if you will sing that song! Damn, you got this far, okay, I’m done, do it!!!” And my tears started to flow under the 3D glasses. So… uh… Wow! This movie is one of the best Pixar film I’ve seen in ages! I’m not kidding! I know it’s just my personal opinion, but there’s a real story you can grab on, many plot twists, and the whole thing was an emotional roller coaster, showing the death in an other perspective. Boi… I want to buy it when it comes out. You know well guys, in most of the movies under the wings of Disney, you should expect tons of singing. Of course there are some songs, but in this case it’s absolutely not the “Oh the sun is shining, I must sing!” ”Oh, I must sing about this and that, no matter if it’s not needed, I just want to rub under your nose something that gives mood, but gives nothing to the story!” I like most of the catchy Disney songs, but I felt this way too many times. But in Coco, you won’t have to wait unnecessarily until a song ends. They are absolutely needed, part of everything in the story. I must admit there are a few predictable things, and a few little confusing design stuffs, but they weren’t conspicuous at all, didn’t ruin anything. And except these, the movie is a masterpiece. I absolutely enjoyed it. It was full of life, extremely creative and emotional.

2017-12-03 22:35:33 +0000 UTCThey told me Coco had nothing to do with the book of life, can you confirm? Coco won't be out for at least another couple of weeks here. I did see Justice League though, and aside from the "retcon" about superman, which for some reasons now is a pillar of justice (uh.... are we talking about the same movies i saw?!) and also aside from the fact that this DC universe is really schizo, and aside from the fact that given what happened to Cyborg i had expected SUperman to become cyborg superman... Yeah, it actually was really and unexpectedly enjoyable!
