8/10 Author Check-in and Weekly Short
Added 2024-08-10 19:00:07 +0000 UTCWe got an R short this week. There is a "blink and you'll miss it" reference in the first chapter to a quilt on the MC's bed made by "Mama Jude". This was originally meant to be edited out because it's a leftover from when this story was a novel, but it was never cut. So here's a short expanding a little on it. Brace yourself for a badly googled Tarot reading, witchy grandmas, and maybe a couple cliches just for the hell of it. This short is also about twice the length of the regular ones to make up for skipping last week.
On that note, I'm sorry for missing last week. The week kind of just came and flew past me without me realizing. My new job has been kind of fucking with me, but I'm getting into a good pattern now.
On a chapter related note: we're getting there. As I said on the Tumblr, I'd say we're about 2/3s done now.
